Scientology's pattern has been the same for decades:

    1. Use PI's hired by law firms to locate and kick the shit out of critics. This is the essence of Fair Game. "Kick the shit out of" means blackmail, threats, and harassment in order to shutter critics into silence.

    2. Use OSA to locate and kick the shit out of former Cult members who are speaking out. This is the essence of Fair Game. "Kick the shit out of" means blackmail by use of confessional folder data, sue as needed, and disconnection from family/friends who are still in CoS. The goal is to shutter into silence and/or get a former member doing A-E for years.

    3. Use lawsuits to harass and/or bankrupt and neutralize critics.

    4. Take the high moral ground in public and scream religious persecution.

The proposed call for a new law by the Cult to ban online anonymity is an example of point 4 above. If the passed, the Cult could then begin to locate and kick the shit out of Australian critics and former members per points 1-3 above.

Australia is where it all began to fall apart on the ground for CoS in 2005 and 2006. There is a bare-knuckle fight down there between FZ'ers and the Cult for control of the electronic opium trade. Because some FZ'ers have hidden data lines into CoS in exchange for various favors, people are well advised, as has been said, to not talk to FZ'ers except perhaps to say hi at a raid. IMO, This proposed fascist law is as much about the Cult unloading all harpoons on Anonymous as it is about locating and nuking FZ'ers who are protected by online anonymity.

The Cult has been looking for a country to get a law passed that it can cite in lawsuits in other countries. Apparently, OSA Legal has decided that it might have a shot in Australia based upon existing laws.

OSA Legal is attempting to bypass Anonymous by taking the legislative route and using lobbyists and lawyers. This is where the Cult might be playing for a win in hoping that key Australian Anons decloak/unmask in order to speak at hearings over this law. No anonymity is allowed in the hearings, Thus, the Cult could be making a hidden play to ID and sue people if this goes to hearings. This procedure did not work in Riverside County as the Gold Base/Jeff Stone debacle played out. Anons and OG have staged a brilliant fight. We did get to see a mind-baked Jeff Stone passing his Homo Novis TR's though. This is what being "keyed out" looks like:

Submissions to the Freedom of Religion and Belief in the 21st century project

Not sure if this has been posted before,

But Scientology made a submission to the Austrian Human Rights Commission the project was called "Freedom of Religion and Belief in the 21st century project"

    The page is here AHRC

And their submission is here Sub1931.Church_of_Scientology.doc

"Recommendation 2: Restriction on Anonymity of Religious Bigots

2.1 Websites created with the primary purpose of inciting
religious vilification shall be removed or their access to the
    Australian public restricted

Anonymous currently uses the website www.whyweprotest.net [and other sites dedicated to a particular city] to orchestrate their raids and other anarchist activities against the Church. These websites are not legitimate forums in which some members defame the Church and orchestrate its destruction. These sites have as their central purpose to act as a forum for Anonymous members whose sole goal is to ‘destroy’ our Church for what they consider to be the ‘good of mankind’ and for their ‘own enjoyment’ as seen in the highly intimidating and frightening you tube propaganda video contained on the link below"

Kudos to whoever got this Slashdot'd, this story is really starting to pick up and anger all the right people.
With any luck we can get this to some Australian media outlets who will connect Scientology to the governments already deeply unpopular internet censorship plans.

The fallout from that, would be truly epic I think.

Oh Scientology, you've managed to do it again, just how does one keep coming up with such mammoth footbullets?

In order for comments on this article to be best received, they must be thoughtful and well-measured.

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/09/09/anonymous_backfire/

The average reader is averse to obvious flogging of an issue. As well, anything that's too transparent can become subject to scrutiny (see Belfast Telegraph).

But yeah, imagine if Mormons got sued/stalked/harassed for practicing their religion independently instead of within an organized cult.

    Offtopic:
I would ignore them as being inconsequential and beyond useless if sleazy assholes like terril here, didn't slime recovery boards trying to recruit new-ex-scis, like pedobear in teen-chat.

btw: terril was perma-banned quite a while ago. Why is he allowed to ban-evade?

Either way, we shall have to up the strength of our game if we wish to stop this bullshit from getting listened to.

I'll be talking to the members of Melbourne Anonymous and see what we can do to make this next raid even better, hopefully using some of the lies and slander against anon against scientology.

Remember; For all you melbourne anons out there, come to the next raid! on september the 19th :D
