Scientology: There are no natural brain disorders that can be treated/cured by medicine. All problems are cause by dead space alien souls which cost $300 000 to remove. There is no other answer; this is the only and perfect answer, which must never be modified or researched any further. One special person with superpowers discovered the answer and nobody is allowed to question it or to try and improve upon it.

Science: Tens of thousands of educated experts have contributed to discovering the existence of bipolar disorder and to treatments. Although the current treatments can treat the problem, there are still some unwanted side-effects and there is no permanent cure. Research is ongoing to find the causes of the problem, and into understanding how the treatment works. The latest discovery is that the disorder may have some connection to the brain's circadian rhythms, and that one effect of the medicine that treats bipolar disorder is to strengthen these circadian rhythms in the brain.

  6. It's not us you have to convince, or indeed the people who cannot understand that they are gullible idiots no matter how often you tell them. If they don't sign up for Scientology, some other scam will get them.
The people to convince are those who do know better, who do have influence, but don't want to spend time doing anything about the problem.
