Iranians Told To Vote, Not Vote, In Next Week's Election
-- Golnaz Esfandiari
This one actually made me laugh out loud. I'm surprised he didn't announce the result - they must after all already know that, since they already know that 80% are going to take part!
Opposition group calls for boycott of elections
I agree, obviously, that people shouldn't vote - but will it actually make any difference to how they report the result. I mean does it really matter whether people actually vote or not, they will still announce they had an 80% turnout! (They've already predicted that, so it can't be any less!)
Also wonder if they will use bribery (linking 'subsidy' payments) to voting.
(Not so different from the potatoes)

Also its pretty hard to run a successful election campaign when the government screens all candidates for the 'correct' views, and when a lot of your staff and colleagues are in prison, some being tortured.

Khamenei makes power grab in elections
Doesn't sound like much of an election, if the voters are being told for whom they must vote. Is this America?
For me the most intriguing quote of the day:
Images from Iran's parliamentary election including one by Armin Karami of Mehr News Agency showing a young man wearing a "God Bless America" T shirt:
God Bless America! seen during Iran's election
I asked some Iranian friends (somewhat tongue in cheek) if they had voted (at the embassy)
One responded: "It's ok, I don't have to, they have already voted for me"
And the other: "I'm still wondering "where is my last vote?""
