If UMG keeps it up, they're going to get a falcon punch in court. I'd love to see someone finally smacked down for abusing the DMCA.

Edit: Oooh, removed, looks like UMG is digging themselves deeper and deeper.

    LOL perfect!

They did exactly what is required to give this video 100 re-uploaded clones and millions of views and vast international scrutiny on the evil anti-creative empire known as Universal.

Now sit back and enjoy watching the raep.

TIME: Megaupload Sues Universal Music Group over Illegal Takedown
Pretty much copypasta of what everyone else has reported, except for this tasty tidbit:
Seems Universal doesn't like any competition fooling around with their gravytrain.

    So what does
    actually mean?

That's not the usual message when something gets DMCA'ed.

This video is as old as fuck but it pretty much explains the logic behind Universal getting butthurt:

Seems UMG has it's own backdoor into the internals of YouTube, but like Alice's rabbit-holes, nobody really knows how far it goes:

Sounds similar to the one Scientology had into eBay that they used to remove e-meter sales.
