Over the past few days, I have received messages from three ex-Narconon students, including two attempted suicides. This came in two days ago while I was proof-reading a book chapter: My book 'Roller Coaster Out of Hell' will be published August 2015 once final edits and proof-reading is finished. Here is an unedited excerpt from a chapter that's being worked on today:
Congrats Dave! Great News! These stories are totally insane. HOW did this ever come to be? The wrath of a fat, dead, con man continues. Unreal. TODAY IS MONDAY JUNE 29TH. HOW LONG WILL THEY BE OPEN? NOT LONG MY FRIENDS…. NOT LONG.
Yesterday when I opened my email, there it was! Some of the book content I sent away to have a professional consulting firm read and edit. I'm learning a lot from this experience and wise advice by pulling the reader into my shoes ... bringing them along on the ride into hell and back. WHO were these Agents? ... WHO is this Guardian angel that helped me survive these past five years and consulted with me every step ... every day? He is a brilliant warrior who will be detailed in my book. And it's not who some may think it is.
LMAO! I knew you you would say that ... because you saw exactly what I did in my last post. I certainly hope Shanky and her minions saw too because they really don't have a clue what is in, who will be named, and how many of their dirty secrets I will tell. Even if a few incidents may be emarassing to me, I intend to 'Time-Line' each and every event in Canada, USA, and Ireland ... letting the chips fall where they may. .
NO CHIPS FOR YOU! How about a few Leaked Emails we're 'squishing' into a chapter, but I can't resist publishing the story first on my Narcononcanada.com website that takes us to the creation of NN TR? TEASE:
I'm a fussy eccentric that may thin my Publisher's hair, but we nailed down more details today. Cover graphics may change?
"So how did I fall - hook, line and sinker - for the “drug treatment” scam known as Narconon, operated by the Church of Scientology to bilk its “students” of tens of thousands of dollars and to indoctrinate new members into “The Church.” As I unravel the answer to this question for myself, I will explain my personal nightmare to you in vivid detail… The hellish incidents of brain-washing and mind control, the lost sense of personal identity and a haunting period of post-traumatic stress. I hope that you might comprehend the pain, the nightmares, and sleepless nights, so you emerge armed with knowledge that can help you resist the pull of Narconon/Scientology, should it enter your life or the lives of anyone dear to you."
Seriously mate, with much respect, that design sucks on so many levels imo.. Firstly, your picture should go on the back at least, the most un-obtrusive photos go on the inside back leaf of the jacket, with a small bio etc. Back of jacket/book, condense the gist of it or print raving reviews from anything/one of consideration. The front, hm, lots of possibilities, I think you should haz a contest for ideas Mine~ black and white version, round out the font of the title, fit it better, take it up a notch (not quite gothic). Take the explanation text and move it to the right, small, but attractive, like maybe some srcoll-work borders. Near the bottom, yer name. The background, no frikken idea, simplest would be a larger castle, half way up its top blends into the sky/title. ih nm, i go now Cheers!
I agree 100% ... the pic must be on the back and the front needs to be changed. This is the third round of Covers so far, and mega changes to be made before this Eccentric Ol' Man is happy. We're working on it, but I most likely will have a Consultant Firm with graphic artist do their magic and see if I like it?
There has been so much work to bring this to fruition for you. Make sure every aspect of it feels 100% right before signing off. Otherwise, knowing you, you will be gnashing your teeth for all eternity
A little tribute song for you Dave, I can't sing your praises enough, these folks can........Enjoy! Take your time, David Love, ''You've been around a long time and you've really paid your dues.'' Thanks for all your efforts in taking on this horrific, abusive scam of Narconon, you've helped more than you'll ever know. David vs Goliath!
I'll just have to keep on feeding him right and make sure he gets enough sleep! Can't have him gnashing his teeth away!
A Public Post on one of my Facebook pages a few minutes ago makes all of this work very worthwhile. Since it's Public, I will post the comments here: NN Victim: Ugh the memories....but who to tell? I vividly remember arriving the same day as you Dec 1 08 (We both arrived the same day). David Love: I remember too, ... And I was LIVID when you were ran through "Light Objectives" in WD over and over and over. You were pissed and so was I - LOL ... (((HUGS))) to YOU NN Victim: Wow I feel really validated that you remember that.....looking back I realized I was being harassed and antagonized when all I wanted was my space to grieve. NN Victim: Over 2 hrs that went on....The tension in WD was unmistakable. David Love: I remember it all like it was yesterday. I felt your pain and so sorry for you. And the nonsense that went on with the Assists ... well, you know exactly what I mean. I was ready to call Police, and they're lucky I didn't. NN Victim: I hope we stay in touch and talk soon......I've followed your work from day one as a kind of life link or reminder of a time that was blurred and nightmarish. ...to really hang on to the fact that that was real and it happened. But I've stayed silent all these years.....to get through the day, ya know?
Far too many Dox to insert in book, but there will be many. Will provide EASE LINK in book to a website to countless more. Now have THREE incidents of sex with students and E-Meters at 3 different Narconons. I needed this third one, and now have it with Staff Names blocked out for now:
Hey Dave, you prolly already saw this It is from 1991 Another ex "patient" talking about Narconon and sex between patients and counselors "NEWKIRK - A substance abuse center operating at an old Indian school is a recruiting station for people to join the Church of Scientology, a former security guard there claimed Tuesday. John Allen told The Oklahoman that he was fired last week after working six months at the Narconon Chilocco New Life Center when he refused to sign a two-year contract agreeing to learn more about the Church of Scientology. "It was a two-year Scientologist contract," he said. "They wanted me to study the theory of Scientology and take select courses. " Gary Smith, president of Narconon Chilocco, strongly denied Allen's charges. "It's absurd," Smith said. Smith confirmed Allen was asked to sign a contract, but that he was not fired just for refusing to sign. "Basically, without giving the guy too much ill repute, he just wasn't performing on the job," Smith said. Smith said others at Narconon have signed 2 1/2-year agreements that basically serve as a commitment "so we know we've got guys for that length of time," Smith said. Smith said persons signing the agreement are asked to study the Narconon program, not to learn about Scientology. Allen, 34, who previously worked 13 years as a tribal police officer, said it was common for people completing Narconon Chilocco's treatment plan to go to Los Angeles for further work or studies at Narconon International's headquarters or training as a Scientologist. "What it is, it's a recruiting post for Scientologists," he said. Pictures of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard are hung throughout the complex, Allen said. Two of three classrooms are used to teach clients the principles of Scientology, he said. Allen, who previously worked for the Ponca, Pawnee and Osage tribal police departments, said Narconon Chilocco officials are worried about bad publicity to the extent of refusing to call an ambulance for a staff member who was beaten by a client and for a client who drank bug poison. He said no physical examinations are performed on new clients, and no medical treatment is provided for clients going through withdrawal symptoms. "They've got what they call a detox area, but that's blow in the wind," Allen said. "All they do is lay in there until they dry out. Clients had to come off the booze and drugs themselves. " Bruce Pyle, a spokesman for Narconon Chilocco, said Allen went to the newspaper because he was upset over being fired. Pyle asked that a story not be written because "it leaves a very bad impression. Whether it's proven or not doesn't really matter because the damage is done. " Allen said he is not the only person to refuse to sign a two-year agreement to study Scientology. Narconon Chilocco has been accepting patients since Feburary 1990 on Indian land it leases from the Chilocco Development Authority. However, the program still is awaiting certification from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Board action could take place later this summer. Narconon Chilocco, which typically charges $15,000 for its three-month treatment, is seeking state approval to treat up to 75 patients. It has long-range plans to treat up to 750 people. He also said sexual relations between clients and between staff members and clients was common during the time he worked at the facility. A favorite spot for sexual activity was Narconon Chilocco's saunas, where some clients spend more than five hours a day in treatment" http://newsok.com/scientology-required-former-guard-claims/article/2361171
Since you are really now a Gonzo journalist I think a Ralph Steadman-style artwork of a Roller Coaster coming out of Hell would be highly appropriate for a book cover.
I/We're 'Sky-Rocketing' ahead with final edits complete, and now set up for two proof readers to comb the pages of 'Roller Coaster Out of Hell'... A big thank you to ‘Loriisfree’ and a couple other editors, especially one that helped me pull it all together. I'm very grateful to ALL.
this part of that story from 1991: "Narconon Chilocco officials are worried about bad publicity to the extent of refusing to call an ambulance for a staff member who was beaten by a client and for a client who drank bug poison." I don't remember hearing about this or maybe I did I and I forgot. I wonder if the "client" drank bug poison to get out of there, or to harm themselves. Either way, this is disgraceful and should be made public. I would love to see the police logs for Chilocco! It bears repeating and tweeting!
And then in 1992 this happened: Addendum (don't know authored by who) In spite of their own opinion of the Narconon treatment program, the Oklahoma State Board of Mental Health in August 1992 granted Narconon-Chilocco an exemption from the requirement of state certification because they had shown evidence of obtaining certification by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF).*In exchange, Narconon agreed to drop a number of lawsuits against the department, the state, and the individuals on the board.**Documents exist that show Narconon hired the first two "inspectors" CARF sent to Narconon Chilocco to evaluate their program. One of them reportedly married the Narconon director of Education recently in a Scientology ceremony performed by a Scientology "minister."*Rumors abound that CARF has been infiltrated by the Narconon organization, and that one Ken McGreggor serves as an official on both boards. This has yet to be independently substantiated, however. The Mental Health Board of the State of Oklahoma pointed out that the exemption granted to Narconon was entirely based on state statute that allows for such exemption. The board's attorney, Patrick Ryan, said, "That's different from certifying them. The board has not ever, and did not by today's action, give a stamp of approval of NARCONON".Narconon-Chilocco (the largest drug rehabilitation program in the world, according to Narconon propaganda) today has about 15 staff people and 12 patients by recent report, (all previous graduates of the program who obviously were not cured of anything or they wouldn't be back again), and some foreign "trainees" who pay them to work there.Narconon Chilocco has been forced, within the last month, to pay something in excess of $15,000.00 to former employees in settlements."I know this is old hat, but again bears repeating. This still continues to boggle my mind and David's book can't come out soon enough!
I have the Police Logs. And onother desperate victim who tried to GET OUT of Narconon by consuming something to harm himself. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/mom-slams-drug-rehab-centre-run-by-scientologists-1.1158163
utterly discsuting so they had cases against not only the department and the state, but individuals on the board too Sounds like the IRS all over again I hate this fucking cult
Yes, I think so too. One photo under the 'Out of Hell' title would make the cover not so busy... leaving the graphics alone for now to think about it while the 2 proof readers finish. Then make the final changes for cover and off to publisher.
The top title, I don't know, may be worded wrong? IDK Are these any better? I have HORRIBLE grammar!! How I Escaped a Deadly Cult and How I Survived. (or how I survive) How I Escaped a Deadly Cult and How I Continue to Survive. How I Escaped a Deadly Cult and My Journey Through Life. How I Escaped a Deadly Cult. How I Escaped a Deadly Cult and Survived. How I Escaped a Deadly Cult and My Journey to Heal I Escaped a Deadly Cult My Story of Escaping a Deadly Cult and Surviving Escaping a Deadly Cult and Surviving Escaping a Deadly Cult and My Journey to Survive
I suppose it's a tribute to the anons who have helped him out (hat off to them btw!), but I agree, I would leave it off the cover. Dave: Go for simplicity.
The name is actually William Kent McGreggor, and his shennanigans with deceiving/infiltrating CARF have been pretty well documented since 1992. BigBeard
Nope, the sub-title will stay as is... I sent something similar to yours above, but the screenwriter, producer, editor who worked on editing some of my book... feels that THIS text leads into what is in the first book chapter. WE'll play a bit yet with the Cover... Now back to work.
YES, it was a 'tribute' to so many Anons who helped me for so many years. We'l see what we can do with the text on the Back Cover to do this? Indeed, I LOVE SIMPLE and listened to this SONG untold dozens of times while writing.
