Book Cover will not be ANY of the above... almost done now. We're ahead of schedule to publish on or before August 14, 2015. Book Title is Registered and I/We are in the process of 'Lawsuit-Proofing' - Newspapers and other sources giving me expressed permission to use their images and a wee Copyright issue with 'Fair Use' for some Narconon documents inserted in Book. It's around the clock PUSH to have all this completed on scheduled. It CAN and WILL be done.
You're going to lose some readers, especially ones in the bible belt, just because the word "hell" is in the title. I don't think it's necessary. How about "roller coaster out of insanity" or "roller coaster out of torment" or "roller coaster out of despair" or something even better?
Perhaps... at first until the content is known in the 255 - 6x9 plus pages or so? We'll see.? There's far more explicit words than 'HELL' in the book... but quotes are quotes - not to be messed with. I would lose other readers if I put the word 'Christian' in the Title too, so, although BOTH words (HELL and CHRISTIAN) are in the Book Title and/or Content, I'll just let the chips fall where they may. Actually, when I attended Bible School back in 1990 at University of the Nations, we were given this book to read - quite the read for Bible Belt people ... Totally agree with reconsidering the word hell in the title for the above reasons. In addition, imho it probably gives too much away about the plot/story. When I read bfgs book long ago the constant train wreck over and over gripped me. I didn't expect some of the situations. As a reader, I often don't know if a book is about is about an escape/crisis and then life afterward or if it is about the daunting escape itself. I personally like "not knowing" up front. Just a thought. Whatever you choose it will be yours and I will take great pleasure in reading it.
In Dante's famous poem about hell, there are nine circles. The eighth circle is "Fraud." Something like: "The Eighth Circle - Why Narconon Must Be Stopped" and perhaps an exclamation mark after the last word in the title.
Wow... hadn't thought about the Octopus in years! I'm glad there's a book about Casolaro. Fascinating (and disturbing) story. Re: David's book, I would think about harmonizing the cover art and the title. The latest bit of art is nice, but what's it got to do with roller coasters? SMH And re: "Hell" in the title... perhaps a bit strong for some, but I don't know that you would actually lose many readers over it. People will get/read it -- or not -- over what's in it and what others say about it, not primarily over the title, IMHO. That said, if it's not too late to redo the title, I wouldn't vote against reconsidering it, just in case there's a better one. (Is "What the Hell was I Thinking?!?" taken? :-p )

I had one PM from a friend who said: I'm not too concerned about the Bible Belt market so much as I am about the Book Cover. If I'm not happy with it, I'll be stressed and it will distract me from the marketing process etc. ALSO, I must be happy with the Title. This is a HUGE decision coming down to the wire. When I had to make the decision to say NO to Narconon for $20 - $30,000.00 in my pocket with a GAG ORDER, that matter disctracted me for 2-3 weeks, but I knew in my GUT that I was going to give them the Bird-Finger and call their bluff. Should have my ISBN number(s) from Bowker this week, and once they are aasigned to Book, there can be no more changes. YES, I did say number*S* - multiple because another Book will follow shortly after. It's alreadty written, but nothing to do with NN/COS. I/We finally did it. I agree BigBeard. I had to pass some of the Book past a couple USA Lawyers concerning Copyright issues with inserting NN Book images. And also to avoid facing a lawsuit for some content. All is GOOD. Book Excerpt:
