You know, I thought she was cool. Indeed all the ex-Scientologists they spoke to seemed like good *real* people, the type of people you could enjoy having a good conversation with (and indeed the ex's I have met have all been great people). I guess they've been through so much in their past. Scientologists leaving now will be in good company.

I think the average Aussie will be able to sympathise with the ex's easily, and will want an investigation, whereas Tommy Davis (the only clam to have a say) came across as a goofy and not telling the truth.

Tommy's "acceptable truth" is that the Guardian's Office did Operation Snow White, and they were closed down! Of course he doesn't mention that their role was then taken up by the Office of Special Affairs

Yeah, I had to ask my partner "hey, how'd Tommy come across - I watch way too much of him being an assface online and have become kinda used to his assfacery."

He said he reckons he looks like he's lying, that he was constantly back-pedaling...insincere...oh and that his eyes were darting around a lot, like desperately trying to figure out what to say. Also, I believe the phrase "total douche" was uttered as well.

So as someone who doesn't really follow all the Anon/Scientology apart from what I'm yammering at him about, he's my "objective observer" and probably in the typical 4 corners demographic. Nup, Tommy didn't come across very well - unless "trying hard but utterly unconvincing in his web of lies" is the look he was going for.

Oh and just in case anyone forgot I <3 THE ABC!!!!

Bringing up the abuse that L. Ron Hubbard dished out is pure win. Scientology has never been a good thing, never ever ever. The only reason Miscavige started out the way he did was because he learned how to abuse from L. Ron Hubbard. If Hubbard were alive, I believe scientology would be in the same shape it is in now, possibly worse. He would have denied the internet completely and set about destroying it completely.

I still have concerns about people who were aboard the scientology hellboat as children. Did any of them ever get to grow up or even make it out alive?

This and the NYT article are going to weigh a lot out there. The hole that the CoS have been digging, is caving in.

We can hope for some political action to spring from this public awareness, but in any case it is out there now. People are talking about it.

I do not think the CoS could do anything to clean this up. Their damage control, poor Tommy, is failing.

More information about their special and secret deal with the IRS should hit the public in the right way now..

The early Sea Org footage and Hubbard footage and they showed a not so nice picture of Hubbard with long hair and glasses and a hat which was a really big win.
