Admissions, Anyone? Hubbard's 1947 Occult Self-Hypnosis Yak Been around but first time in Voice and sound: http://www.youtube.com/v/aXKE1Tduu0A Links to many other sites of Hubbard occult background as well as the full 30 pages of the Admissions themselves Rock On Anon! AnonVeritas
Re: Admissions, Anyone? Hubbard's 1947 Occult Self-Hypnosis Yak The sheer amount of info coming (back) to light is phenomenal. Thanks for this. It's going on my list. My head is already spinning with LRH doublespeak. :lrhtalking:
Re: Admissions, Anyone? Hubbard's 1947 Occult Self-Hypnosis Yak I've known about Hubbard's interest/involvement in occultism for a long while. I'm surprised it's not a given among Anonymous. However I've seen some threads elsewhere where they have suggested using information about his knowledge of the occult as a talking-point to rally people (such as Christians) against him/Co$. As a member of the occult community I find the fact interesting, but not something we need to start focusing on. The occult and NeoPagan communities have been fighting a very uphill battle over the past 60 years or so to become recognized as non-threatening folks. Dragging it out as a reason for why Co$ and Hubbard are evil only causes more harm than good to MANY people. In the US members of the occult and NeoPagan community still ruitinely lose their jobs, houses, children, and sometimes their lives due to persecution for their beliefs and practice. Harping on the Hubbard-occult link just furthers the propaganda campaigns against those innocent communities. Obviously L.Ron had some real mental issues that were, sadly, never addressed. The fact that he explored occultism is really neither here nor there. The individual elements that cause the brainwashing effects of the tech are not the problem. The sinister way they are executed in order to have that effect on people IS. Just my opinion.
Re: Admissions, Anyone? Hubbard's 1947 Occult Self-Hypnosis Yak Hubbard was not just occultic he was Satanic, as in infernalist Satanic, there's a difference between that and your average neo-pagan.
Re: Admissions, Anyone? Hubbard's 1947 Occult Self-Hypnosis Yak For sure. But is Joe Public going to make that distinction? I think not. I still see a fail for the occult and neopagan community as a whole if this particular angle is pushed. LRon was so nutty in so many other ways that don't encourage discrimination against regular folk, it seems to make more sense to pursue those.
Re: Admissions, Anyone? Hubbard's 1947 Occult Self-Hypnosis Yak Yeah ...real scientific for a religion eh?
