Anti-drug ad on buses in Lugano, Sw.

For the past week or so, there have been many articles in Italian about an anti-drug campaign in Lugano, which is located in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The campaign involves an advertisement on the side of buses operated by Lugano Public Transport [TPL - Trasporti Pubblici Luganesi]. The ad contains the slogan "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life". Copies of the booklet "The Truth About Drugs" are distributed and a video excerpt from the DVD "The Truth About Drugs" plays on a monitor inside a bus. The sponsor is Fondazione Futura, which is operated by Scientologists and denies any connection with the Church of Scientology. Reports by the daily newspaper La Regione Ticino have been gradually revealing the campaign's connections to Scientology and prompting TPL to try to eliminate the campaign's visible attempts to proselytize for Scientology. On September 24, TPL decided to drop the video and the booklets, leaving only the slogan on the side of buses.

That's the gist of it. The five sample articles translated below illustrate how information about the role of Scientology in this anti-drug campaign on TPL buses has been emerging. These articles can be found on the ticinonline website and appeared on Sept. 17, 19, 21, 23, and 24.

After the denial that the advertising campaign "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life" on a TLP bus is the shadow of the Church of Scientology, La Regione Ticino repeats the charge: "The connection with Scientology is clear, documented, and corroborated by testimony."

Win. The scilons are so desperate as to target less populated tourist areas, or the tiding is turning such that they have no where to hide.

It's great that Scilons around the world are blowing $$$ on expensive ad campaigns, only to have them exposed as deceptive front groups.

I tip my hat to this newspaper. Hopefully TPL will take the scilon advertising off the side of the buses soon.

That'd be the same as "Verein 'Sag NEIN zu Drogen'" (same name, same 'drug free world' front, just in German)

Sag NEIN zu Drogen (scilon page)

Domain is registered to Silvio de Boni, longtime scientologist. They've been on the list of scilon fronts for quite some time.

Since I got interested in the subject, I realised that scientology in Switzerland has many dirty infiltrations. We need to inform better people in different languages, because in english you can find a lot of real stuff about this cult, but if you search in italian for example, it seams that Scientology does a lot to help people...

The Court case against scientology in France...documents disappearing, new law just in time to help the cult, wath is going on? Hope at the end of the month the Judges will be realistic. This could be a good message for other european countries.

    Thanks
