The Irish singer/songwriter Van Morrison took courses in Scientology back in the 80s. The best I could find in terms of him talking about his time in Scientology is from an interview at - From BP Fallon | Van Morrison.

Nothing he said there was critical. He said he is not a joiner. That isn't speaking out about it. So why would you add him simply because a lot of people think he should be added?

When people make lists like these (e.g., of current Scientologists or former Scientologists or former Scientologists who are now critical), other people read and copypasta them onto blogs and websites--they live forever. I often encounter lists of celebrity Scilons that have bogus entries on them (like Rob Thomas). And even if you have all kinds of disclaimers about how you aren't responsible for the list's accuracy, no one ever copies that stuff. If you're going to make a list like this you should try to ensure its accuracy. What use is it if you can't say it's accurate?

Mike Farrell was never a Scientologist. He, in fact, hosted a reception & awards ceremony at his home for the original Cult Awareness Network members in Beverly Hills. Attorney Gloria Allred, the media-whore attorney, was also present.

His doing this created a huge stink within Scientology and Heber Jentzsch & Mike Rinder whined like a bunch of coyotes. Farrell told them both, publicly, to shove it.

Don't know how else to do this.
This list is being compiled from many people helping in an open forum,
soooo....I am jut trying to keep the peace.
I also don't want to be accused of leader fagging this list. It's a continual collective of entries from many people, from many different sources
.
If there is a name that people want to challenge, they can disucss and come to a conclusion if a person belongs on it ot not. Just like you have just done expressing your feelings, saying you thought he was not critical of COS.( and I totally agree).
Doing my best to come up with a very LONG and correct list for great justice, and trying to keep the peace at the same time.

Well... I guess I will let everybody vote on this one. The whole purpose of the list is to encourage others to come foward and speak out. Just putting initials or first names, doesn't help that purpose. It's for people who spoke out and want it to be knowmn so it will help other people to leave or speak out.
I can get TONS of names that are only people's ID's and or fake names.
On the other hand I have an ALexM on there that is not a complete name either, which I was leary of posting, but he said everybody knows who he is.
I also don't want you to give your last name if you don't want to, as you already said that is what you prefer.
But since your face is not covered in the vid on youtube, you pretty much already name fagged yourself to the Scios. But it is certainly your call.

So.... vote people.

I think I have to vote no as well (if non-anons count in the vote). He is so close why not just take the next step? Although this is easy for me to say not being out. I appreciate what you are doing Mike, but I think for this list to have any integrity it needs to have as many details as possible and a complete name is of primary importance to me.

My name is Lee Reynolds

My story, while long, is shorter than some, and not nearly as sad as that of many.

I became involved in the cult when I was a teenager and was a public person at the Nashville CC.

Leaving home, I moved to Phoenix and joined staff at the org there, becoming the treasury secretary. I also lived and worked out at PAC for about a year, but was not in the Sea Borg (though they naturally tried to recruit me).

I was lucky in that the cult decided it didn't want me. Escape from enslavement and abandonment by family and friends is something I luckily never had to experience. I was kicked off staff because I'd been on ritalin-like medications for a while as a kid. I can't say I was too sorry to go. I was getting pretty disillusioned with the cult's track record of saying one thing and doing its opposite. Trying to talk sense to those people was a waste of time.

After leaving staff I started college and began reading up on the cult at the university's library. Boy was that a wake up call. With all of the things I learned there and since then, it amazes me at times that I was ever involved in the cult at all. I certainly would never have gone anywhere near it had I known in 1988 even 1/100th of what I know now. But I was young and naive back then, and did not understand that evil is not merely the absence of good. Hubbard and people like him are intrinsically motivated to destroy and enslave other. There is no rational reason for this, they are simply evil.

You might want to ask one of the admins at the ex-kids site if they can pare the list of the pseudonyms. I think there might only be one or two people at ex-kids who know which names are real and which are not. When they started gathering and posting the stories, they promised to keep the author's names private should they choose. I would suggest a PM to the admin or mods over there.
