Just so I can cite to journalists - when did we reach 1400, 1500, 1600?
hey Moar I just got in from Friday...
will try to check on this tomorrow when I get some shut eye
Add to Lori Hodgson's name- Knowledge Report Interview
I started the list in June 2009
the list hit 1000 on April 11th 2010
it hit 1502 at June 21st 2011
I think those are the most important milestones
2000 should be the next one.
edited We are curently at 1665
on to 2000
Martin Duggan was 1665 so who is the "last name"?
yep you are correct.
I have vacation burn out
Jill Mitchell Almblad- comment on Village Voice article
can anyone confirm this name?
Thanks~! Just what I need. The stats would seem to indicate that defections are snowballing.
Is there some magic hoops to go through for comments to be visible on those pages (like being logged in/allow cookies from specific social networking sites)? I see nothing.
Indeed. Such pages should never be linked in the wiki except for the articles.
This is what I found from Norman Kaye on that thread:
'I recall later when the Sup told me per the earlier weeks event to bring all our original LRH books in to the Org as they all were being replaced as Miscavige said because MU’s were in them or something. I said to the Sup I already put my originals in the commercial bin as It was said we had to junk them.
The Sup was like put them in the bin!! Oh no, the dustbin men might read em and pick up all those MU’s. This was bad.'
It does not sound like this person is leaving. He was just instructed to throw old books out. But maybe you meant many more will leave due to the book 'burning.'
I will read the above posts here in case I missed something.
Ehrm, they might... To me, they show 1000 entries into the table in 10 months, 500 additional entries in the next 13 months and 170 in the next three months. (Approx, corrections welcome since I'm being a pedant )
But that ignores the fact that we're including old and new defections in the list which is the reason that the rate of defections per time unit will not show until someone finds the actual data and digs up 1000+ dates of leaving (the list only includes date of leaving occasionally).
I dearly love the list, but my statistics aren't up to making "snowballing" out of the three numbers quoted - sorry!
tl;dr. Who knows if there is snowballing in there, someone could go find out (hint!)
Keep up the excellent work, is what I meant to say
Less than a third of the total entries even have a "left after x years", so the 1000+ dates of leaving doesn't exist.
I have been away and unable to work on the list, so I got up at 6:30 this morning to search.
It was worth it! lol yay!
Marta Rodas- left after 11 years, Class V auditor and OT XVI, Columbia, blog comment
Stefania Gori - left after 15 years, OTVII Denmark, her story

need confirmations on the following names:
these two were pictured on an Indy site with other Indies.
I think Madde and Jerry may be the kids of Stephan Tunedal's?
Do not know if they were ever in COS?
He was added in February, spelling of first name was corrected in August
and by me! lol!!
oh well five it is!
Helma Paulson- left after 23 years, Sea Org, Grad V auditor, Ethics Specialist, Indie 500 List
add this info to Stefano Scarpa's name- staff, Student Hat; Pro TRs; staff status 1-2; Exec status 1; HDA, Milano staf 1988, Indie 500 List
this should make it 1671
onward to 1700.......
New Submission from the online form: (unchecked)
very cool thanks!
kudos to Estelle for stepping out
It is with great pleasure and honor that I add the followig name:
Todd Harkleroad- left after 6 months, Atlanta Org
This was a PM from Todd himself
Welcome Todd you are number 1673!!
How is a PM publicly speaking out?
He is publicly speaking out by requesting his name be added to the list
that is correct
thank you Tri
So that we can link to it, can you put the request part of the PM in quotes in a post here? Thanks.
I don't know why this is being requested. In the other thread he said he would contact me "as soon as the plane touched down"
and then he contacted me via PM.
"Todd Harkleroad 6 months in Scientology at the Atlanta Org during 2006. Left after taking a handful of courses, and observing that the place was really nothing more than a failing disorganizd business."
Robatl, Yesterday at 11:42 AM
Thank you for that, now we know there was another thread. I didn't see a link to it given.
oh, I thought it was obvious. sorry!
here is the link
Is Cornelius Antonius Martens (Niels) 'just' a critic, or was he once in?
I think that's kittykatpsanker on here so PM him.
A revision needed.
Can a wikier please add three words on to the intro of the list ASAP?
it now says
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please verify all names before adding! This means finding a form of media where a person has spoken out against Scientology, such as news interviews, books, articles, forums, or personal websites
it needs to be changed to:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please verify all names before adding! This means finding a form of media where a person has spoken out against the Church of Scientology, such as news interviews, books, articles, forums, or personal websites...
Many people still practice Scientology who are on the list, so this needs to be changed.
That one line can stop some people from wanting to be added to the list and that's not good.
Anon delivers as always
Can anyone confirm a Andrew Robertson? as being in?
Robert Berrington, http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthre...-declared-quot&p=626445&viewfull=1#post626445
Introducing number 1675:
Samuel Anthony Travolta - left after 10 years - John Travolta's nephew - interview
That account is a little confused, and I'm not sure how long he was involved with Scientology.
It sounds like he was involved in 1997 (and perhaps prior) and then again briefly in 2007, but possibly not for the 10 years in between. Originally Public(?) but Staff in the end. He goes on to talk about how life sucks as Org Staff, and some swipes at his dad and the OSA Psyches who keep trying to drug him.
JT sucketh LRH weener
and spreadeth teh aids wherever he can
new info and link for Rafael Gomez -
article in Spanish "Mexico: Legion of Christ & Scientology Compared"
english translation link below
And also another link for Daniel Asse
If you continue to do what the CoS wants you to, even if they have to "catch up" with you for it, then you never really "left" in the first place.
Rafael Gómez (note the accent) is already on the list.
