Hate to dampen the festive mood:( , but #1743- Brett Haugen was already on my list (but I did add the extra info :) ) so puts my count @ 1743. Also: counted, but haven't added Harold van den Berg name yet. Does that go under V or B ?

That still needs more than 1/8th of the names we currently have.
1/8th of 3 years is more than 3 months.
  17. another123 Member

Another way of looking at it:
Only need 2.7 names per day to meet the goal of 2000 by June 26th.

    <3 thanks Moar!

as far as reaching 2000. You can't really say it would take three months to hit it.
To be more realistic though, it should hit over 1800 at the very least. Thats 55 more names to find.
    And thats a lot.

But let us not forget the mass exodus of members back in the 1980's when DM took over.
    This may happen again.
With Debbie Cook 's email, we don't know what will happen next.
As it is.... names are appearing much more quickly than they have in the past.
After all the intial names were gathered long ago, it was sometimes a month or two before one name was found. We hit some real dry spells.
You never know what will happen in the wacky world of the COS from one day to the next.

#1756- Ed Dawson- Staff, Seattle Org

"Didn't go through any program, or programming, lol! :))) I tend to be wary of organizations and their mind control through morphic fields. Even as a supposedly docile scientologist I always did "other practices". I was doing magick downstairs in the mimeo room at Seattle org when I was staff there!"

It seems the names are appearing in bouts. It may be that people leave the cult in groups (a nettwork of friends taking off), or that they declear their leaving/independence in groups. Or perhaps we see real, historical fluctiation of the exodus. Whatever the cause, we do live in interesting times!

I have never seen this many names this often since the list's start. Its been a pretty steady flow since her email went out. I know there must be a ton more people, but they haven't come forward yet.
What ever it is, its w:) nderful.
What would make it a lot more wonderful of course, would be for them to wake up all together.
baby steps I guess, at least they are not giving any more money to COS.
Joining the Zoners and Indies is like a methadone fix in Scientology world.
Granted they can believe in whatever they want, but this particular belief does involve to continually screw with their brain and to still honor a con man.

From the Geir Isene affair, I remember the blogposts started appearing a couple of months afterwards. The current round seems to fit with Debbies e-mail, if we assume the average time to build up the courage to speak up is 2-3 months.

I'm wondering what the proportion of people speaking up is. 1 in 5? In 10? In 20?
