I ran the big list through a tool which checks whether links are still valid. Incidentally, the tool is made by an OG and is called Xenu.

According to the tool there are currently 147 links which are dead, although I am not 100% sure they are all on the big list or whether they are on the entire wikia area.

Do we want to maintain the list and replce dead links for example with the webarchive version?

I made a thread with the list as it came out of the tool in case we do want to maintain it:

I've periodically done this a few times. The main difference is I usually recover lost links on the wiki using webarchive first, and then mention how many were recovered and list the unrecovered ones alongside the names that need alternative links from elsewhere. The last time I did this was August 2012 so it's due for another round :)
I'd be interested in knowing the tolerance of timeouts/redirects/cookieless access your tool has. The one I used gave red/orange/yellow results depending on those things.

"eheeheh ... recognize Facchinetti to be gone to see teEEEmpo ago in his AAC. Those were the days when I was out of the Sea Org ... Then I ground my bell'auditing, in the meantime I went back to my old love, Taoist alchemy. In my spare time I continue to do the work of Ron fleas and look at how and why the results are crumbs ... All in fifty years of life, not a bad speed eh?? Hats off to everyone. (All you do not say you do not say ..."

Facebook Comments (some kind of debate, possibly from early 2013):

Marisa Sigmond I'm sorry, but as someone who was raised in this cult Scientology I have to disagree with those who are defending it. I've been exposed to Scientology since '78. Not someone who has recently discovered it & thinks it's a "cool fad" because of Tom Cruise. If Scientology is a religion then so is Exxon and Wal-Mart. It is a money hungry business. Sure it can offer some self help courses. But the "Key to Life" and spiritual freedom does not cost $1,000,000. LRH devised his cult on military and mind control principles. I have witnessed every sort of depraved policy in this cult from LRH's Disconnection Policy, Fairgame, Being declared an SP etc. There is no comparison to Buddhism and Taoism with Scientology. It is an evil scam that only cares about $$. But to each their own. I understand some people are proud to be members of it. Some people are also proud to be NAMBLA members too.

Marisa Sigmond Stewart, like the old saying goes, "I respect your beliefs, but I don't respect your religion." So that's great if you like it. Everyone has their own view of what is true or not. Personally, I feel Scientology is far worse today than it was back in the day. The reason I compare it to NAMBLA is because people will defend what they believe in, no matter how wrong it is.
