Internets have been running just fine, since President Gore enacted the Marble Cake 2000 initiative. He chose to devote himself full-time to running the Internets and saving the world from Global Warming- delegating the rather less important job of running America to GWB.

The proposed bill changes nothing. Gore is still President of the Internet, and will be until his term runs out in 2038.

The President will ask the corporations who control the major bandwidth pipes to do it.

The thing is, he probably won't even use the law, but just wave it vaguely in their direction, and they'll do what he wants anyway. 9/11! Won't someone please think of the CHILDREN???

It would work much like how the President got major internet bandwidth providers to illegally monitor the internet - a request they complied with based on no law and in fact required a law later giving them immunity from prosecution.
