Re: Brainstorm Megathread! just had a thought watching part 7 of beghe's interview, what if we made a video or took an existing one and had john beghe to the voice over rather than the standard computer voice, just a one time deal if he's interested and agrees with what exactly is said in that vid and/or works on it actively with us. he is a professional voice over guy, and he has done a lot of them for the CoS. so it would be both ironic and hard hitting.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Just a quick idea here: about the whole Battletoads thing we have going on, think we could release another trailer? You know, something that gives a bit of the "plot" of the "game" while tying in the Fair Game themes? Of course, this is only if anyone's up for 24hr CG-render-stuff time before May 10th...
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Yo I just thought this up and thought I'd write it down before I forget it again. We could theme a protest around all the people who have died under Scientology, and everybody (or most people) in the crowd hold signs with victims names on, with somebody front and centre with a big sign saying "Victims of Scientology" or something. It's a bit of a depressing theme but I think it'd look absolutely fantastic.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Two ideas today 1 a subforum/thread or something for posting what is getting done where. That way we could get a rough idea how we are doing collectively, and it gives those of us with no other anon around or who don\'t know any other anon personally a chance to contribute and feel productive. Sometimes you just want to say, I did something today! I am contributing! (Yes, I\'m still wrestling with my ego. So sue me in England) Sometimes its just nice to know you aren\'t the only one out there doing something. It could be a kind of inspiration/spur to action/record of wins/source of lulz. or something. 2 I suspect a decent number of us commute past or near a mission, front group, org, etc. on a regular basis. Why not use this to our advantage and just start taking notes like what cars are normally there and if anything unusual is going on. We could have a thread for each org and have anyone who passes post an update of what they saw if unusual. just another way to keep tabs on them. also, potential for disregard, cox. haven\'t re-read through and just want ideas down b4 sleep
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Abhorrent as admin control is, it would probably be beneficial to have a locked sticky into which posts detailing general-application tactics can be moved by mods, with a first post indexing the content and hyperlinking to the posts. That way, global techniques or eternally useful information would be present in an indexed, uncluttered form right near the top of the board. Ideally, the majority of posts moved there would be generic to the point that they were applicable to any sort of protest, media manipulation, privacy protection, etc, not just Miscavige and Friends. To help prevent it becoming an expression of the mods preferred tactics, perhaps an open discussion sticky to debate additions, replacements and removals could be added, with periodic pruning wherever a consensus decision on something has been reached and implemented thereby avoiding excessive confusion (any future change to the altered regions would constitute another discussion, so no loss really). Perhaps forcing threaded mode to help keep each changes' discussion together. This might go some way to fixing the present problem that there is no clearly defined collection of strategies and methods, forcing needless verbiage in what should be purely ideas threads to explain how to stay hidden when doing X (and so on) when it's been covered elsewhere countless times and probably better. Being a permanent fixture which everyone can pick apart would also help ensure the thread contained only the most refined versions of the tactics. While a lot of this sort of stuff exists on other Anonymous channels and has done for quite some time (especially online security) many people here have neither the will nor in many cases the stomach to venture beyond sites like Enturb or Xenu.tv into the recesses of the Anonymous hive.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Idea: Do you guys think it would be a good idea to get throwaway msn/yahoo/email addresses etc. to keep in better contact with eachother? They could be used for a quick source of info on raids, lulz etc. If you think it's a good idea, maybe there should be a separate thread for it, e.g post the msn/yahoo/email/thing, and your country and city/state. (YAY first post, newb here)
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Christian Help~~~~~~~~~~~~ Contact Christian churches tell them about Co$'s position on abortion, disconnection, tell them about the OT where Hubbard calls Jesus a Pedophile it's on wikileaks.org I believe.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Hi guys, serious thought here, I watched a video of a news interview that was done with the protesters in Seattle last month. I found it really kind of disturbing that the people who were talking with the news didn't seem to know what they were talking about at all. If you watch it and pay attention you'll understand. I mean, maybe we should get some scripted information, and dialect for when interviews do happen so we don't sound ignorant.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! WATER STOP 4 ANONS Since I cannot walk for more than 20 mins before my ankle seizes I ain't gonna be marching now or in the future but I want to help on the street rather than just letters to the PM. So here's the idea....(Obviously for June now) I get my taxi driver mate to help for anonymity purposes. I load two big eskies with ice, water bottles, and some bendy straws for masked folks. I get my mate to drop me off on the march route somewhere and hand out the H20 as Anons pass. Then, with my mate waiting, we split as soon as the water is handed out. Suggestions please for anything else that would be useful for me to have for Anons? Please just inexpensive suggestions as I ain't got Tom's kinda money.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Videos are an easy an efficient way to inform people. What if we put informative videos on our iPods and invited people to view short videos on various topics surrounding scientology? IF we decide to do this, I would suggest NOT to use earbud headphones as people would be less likely to view the videos if they have to put in headphones that have been in others' ears.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! A quick thought here that answered itself when I wrote it down; I was concerned about scilons left over in a country assuming it ever became illegal. Would they move out or go underground? and could/should we do anything to help them? The answer came, of course; no, because then we really would be hassling believes rather than cults.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! I like this idea. I have also done a lot of anti-war and other political activism, and there is something that is called a die-in, which is sort of like a sit-in, only with people (*in this case in an antiwar protest) covered in fake blood and wearing black, lying on the ground. People also drew chalk outlines around their bodies while they were lying on the ground. This was at a permitted march in the street, so there was space (I know a lot of anonymous protests are not using permits to take over streets, so it might not be a practical idea). Another thought I had was fake tombstones with the names of the dead on them, instead of just a sign. Stuff that is creative like this sometimes gets a lot more attention from the public. Just some thoughts...
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Operation: You Found The Mask - spread cheap V masks in public places with the text youfoundthemask.com, a site that redirects to youfoundthecard.com. Why? Besides the spreading of our message, the mask will give a "gentle push" to the person picking this mask to get involved in anonimous protests - after all, maybe all he needed is that mask. I belive that the message is much more powerfull and personal that way. On the other side, these masks can easily fall at the hands of Co$ and used against us.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! your last comment there is the problem with any 'leave stuff for people unattended' strategy... all Co$ would need would be a few slaves with trashbags to run around after whoever is leaving the stuff behind - and if its books or masks or whatever, then it would be easy enough to identify anon distributing since it'd require a car or wagon loaded with the stuff... a few masks in a backback at a time, while far more anonymous, wont make for much of a distribution
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! hey there, just wanted to drop our plans for the next raid in berlin, Germany. one of us came up with the idea of working out a choreography and dance along to a rickroll and other lulzy songs. We will be doing a rehersal in public, masked of course, to firstly just catch peoples interest and irritate/raid possible scilons that like to set up their stresstests on big squares. This will be filmed. The basic spirit of this is to make our raids more colourful and interesting every time. This means more attention from the public, media and so on. It's showtime! ;-)
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! My idea is that we use offensive quotes (Such as the homophobia) from the Dianetics book to try and get it pulled from public lol-baries and to try and impact its publishing.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Duh! I should have read the announcement post. Sorry for posting a thread already, but here goes: I have an idea. Looking through the following documents: MORE LEAKED DOX!!! Look for the part about the Computer Systems. What you will find is that the computer systems are controlled by the upper hierarchy of the organization. Their lines of communication are so restricted (for bad reasons). I propose here that we help set up a forum specifically for current Scientologists. Why? because one of the following will happen: 1. nothing 2. Grass roots Scientologists can speak to each other openly, freely, and publicly. 3. Grass roots Scientologists could answer our questions. (the management clearly can't) What I am proposing here is to organize Scn from the roots. They don't need the hierarchy telling them how to apply their tech. They are better off without structure, like ourselves. And that will help to take the sting out of Scientology. What are the risks with such a plan? ... the worst thing that could happen is nothing ... are there any risks to reorganizing Scientology from the bottom up? So, how are you going to get them to log on to such forums? There have been some personal contact between anons and Scn in the past. We can try to build on the more civil relationships that anons have had with Scientologists. Business cards are a good way to get across that kind of information. ...thoughts?
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Re: set up Open Scientologist Forum (OSF) ^^ Excuse me, the documents in question is here: http://forums.whyweprotest.net/15-breaking-news/more-leaked-dox-16837/
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Can't wear mask in your area? Comedy site The Onion my have an answer for you. Fake feed-bag with fastfood logo on it could pass for the real thing, and avoid getting namefagged. YouTube: Wearable Feedbags Let Americans Eat More
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! I've just joined Enturb, but I've been with the protests since the beginning. I was wondering if anyone has thought about giving an anonymous tip to the FBI that people are being held against their will by Sci-- in certain locations. I say FBI because we must assume that the local law enforcement are corrupt or accustomed to turning blind eyes. Perhaps we'd need to do some research and get a couple of specific names, maybe work with a disconnected family whom the authorities could contact, and when the family says "we haven't been allowed to talk to her for [however long]," maybe they would act on the tip and investigate the gulag.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Greetings and salutations from a US Air Force n00b... While there are many things that we, as members of the US military, cannot do (for the reasons stated earlier in this thread), surely ways can be found to get some of us protesty-types involved on an individual-person basis - in keeping with the basic Anon concept... I spread the good news wherever I can - through my myspace, friends, and assorted kittehs and nice hoomans. I direct people to this website whenever I can. Every now and then, somebody else becomes interested in the cause. As Tesco says, "every little helps." After all, if we didn't believe in a cause, would many of us have even joined? We certainly didn't enlist for the ca$h ;-) Seek us out!
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! That could blow up gloriously in our faces. Filing a false police report on a LOCAL level gets you jail time--imagine how much more damage it would do on a Federal level. Unless we have some SERIOUS hard facts, reporting to the Feds is a bad idea. Plus, even if it's just an "anonymous" tipoff, they probably won't act on it.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! In the past days (especially in the UK) anonymous has been harassed for pointing out that scientology is a cult. If we change the slant slightly, we can point out we protect the public from cults, but not mention scientology's name. Example: anonymous: protecting you from cults since 01-21-08 for all we do, this org's not for you! we watch CULTS so you don't have too or any other corporate meme that you can think of we can parody for our own use. Possibly, since their brand is not mentioned, the signs cannot be asked to be taken down (uk), but, since you're in the proximity of the org, most people would assume you're referring to them.
Propsition of "Operation: Disbantion" This technique has been used many times during government coups, why shouldn't it work for us? I propose that we (Anonymous) get in contact with a high-ranking member of the 'Church' who is sympathetic to our aims and the cause. Once we have gotten in contact with him, we ask him to help turn others within the organisation to our way of thinking. This would in effect destabilise the organisation from within. This would lead to mass diconcersion within the ranks of the Co$, and eventually cause the implosion of the cult. Of course, our Co$ 'insurgent' will need to exercise EXTREME subtlety when 'proxy recruiting' to avoid harm befalling him/her.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Feds already been there, done that, and no one wanted to leave ( I was told)
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! ...just one more came to me. You know those annoying car washes (US) that high schools have for fund raisers? (including all the cheerleaders). Set up the same deal in front of an org, but instead the signs read brainwash and the money amount [$1,000,000]? (pointing towards the org), but have buckets, hoses and all that crap that you'd need for a carwash.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Ideea : Inform the public trough a more powerful publicity tool ... the TV ads. If you can all contribute with a small amount of cash, let's say 1-5$, get money at every gathering from now on, and from every city or country, send the money to WBM so he can make a TV ad and air it on National television. I know when it comes to money people start asking questions like : "what if WBM spends the money in his own interest? etc." ... well i guess it's just a risk you have to take if you are willing to support the cause. I personally think WBM sacrificed alot of his time/money/health in the last years and consider him a responsable man. Again this is just an ideea ... I don't want you to say stuff to me like : "your ideeas are just like COS's ... charging people for money etc." ... If my ideea seems greedy, remember the money you give will be a donation, not a requirement. Thx for reading
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Like the Prophet Magoo once told me: ANYthing you do is worth it, and you will be counted among us. I think this idea is EPIC win!! Go go go!!
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! The reason why no-one wanted to leave was BEACUSE it was the Feds who asked (imo). We on the other hand are Anonymous, and our cause is just. It will work, i can feel it... Also two more ideas just occured to me: An image-drop board should be added to enturb.org were posters can link people to anti-scientologist posters/fliers/etc. that can be printed off and used at raids. I know that there are a lot of anti-co$ media floating around thar intarbutt, and a centralised source would save people a great deal of searching and unnessecary hassle (of course if there is already such a place, then disreguard this, i suck cocks). My second idea is this. We all know that the book of dianetics (not even gonna dignify that piece of shit with a capital letter) is homophobic. We can use this to our advantage and request that our local gay communities join our cause. Of course this may be seen by some as a little manipulative, but we can appeal to their better nature, their common compassion for their fellow man (maybe adding the fact that dianetics is homophobic as an afterthought). Send word to the Gaynonymous. There assistance will double our dataforce irl For The Cause! For Justice! FOR FREEDOM!!
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! As retired mil (and current gov't worker), you're right. Here, also, you're right to a point. Even deeper than the fear of being associated with the "illegal activities", is the fear of namefagging. I don't want my gov't job to be threatened, even though I support anon from the sidelines. But that being said, we can "enlist" the aid of the mil as follows: 1. If your location has a nearby base (any branch), contact the base public affairs office, and show the pics of DM and Co$ in Sea Org uniform. Ask them to spread the word to their troops that there may be military "imposters" wandering around, THAT DESERVE NO MILITARY HONORS. The young troops have the "when in doubt, salute" idea pounded into them. 2. All the branches have concern for their troops and their financial well being. Inform them of the possibility that their young, impressionable troops may be "sucked into" Co$ in the form of "stress tests", possibly spending thousands of dollars on the tech. 3. If in the mil, go to the Chaplains, have a talk with them about the local org and the damage they can cause. They'll tell their members, etc... 4. Each base has a board that determines the "off-limits" areas. Ask them to place the orgs there. Even if the answer is no, they'll at least know of the possibilities of the dangers near the orgs. 5. The Base Commander usually has an open door policy. See if he/she can spare a few minutes to discuss a matter that can cause serious harm to their troops. Srs bsns, no memes, etc. TL: DR. Talk to the mil. Don't go in mask. Take important paperwork. Let them know that as the cult gets more desperate, they'll try to get their "recruits" from all sources.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! ^^^this. A little film of a Bunch of Anons. Theatricality and creativity are some of the strongest weapons in a war of information. Yeah we don't have Hollywood gear but we DO have lots of creative editors, actors, singers . I mean, think of a bunch of Anons in a chorus line. Or SeaArg Pirates chasing SeaOrg with foam swords. There's just so much visual/musical in all this. "ANONYMOUS--THE MUSICAL":rickroll::guyfawkes::anon:
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! I've brought this up in a couple of places and I haven't seen much else on it . . . if somebody would like to point me to a thread where this has already been discussed, I'll be happy to take it there. What if we staged protests at Narconon centers? This would, I think, raise awareness for a number of reasons. 1. It would make people aware of the Scientology/Narconon connection. 2. It would make people aware that Narconon doesn't work, and indeed harms people. 3. It would cut off one of their sources of income, as fewer people would be willing to check into a treatment center that has people protesting outside it. It would also deflect a lot of the 'religious' questions, since it claims to be a secular institution that just kinda borrows the Hubbard tech. We'd need to track down where these places are in each of our localities and coordinate protests accordingly, so it may take a little lead time. What say you, Anonymous?
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! In my opinoin, this is a good idea. During war, the first thing any general should focus on is the cutting off of the enemies supply lines. The same is true of bringing down any type of organisation. If we netralise their funding, we neutralize their operations, thus starving them of their much needed income.
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! Doubt is an open Door An approach to low level scilons. Those who desperately want to believe. Let them know there is a place to get all their material, for free. Handouts made to look like AOLA mailers on THE BASICS, but instead of IAS vs regular price, Co$ price and ours, free. Playing audio of LRH say OTIII would kill the unprepared immediately followed by OTIII There is enough doubt if you're "on course" and not really on staff or doing all their crap. Opening a wedge could get these people out of the academy classes (expensive) and maybe get us some auditing sheets from those training on meter etc. Wish I still had that shit, threw it all away.
Re: Various Ideas I applaud all of the ideas you have had, but there are problems I see with many of them. In putting together a DVD of info for potential Scientologists that contains OT materials or other, somehow, copyrighted Co$ materials will give them legal ammo to get an injunction to ban handing them out. This may allow Co$ to get the local PD to detain and/or arrest Anons; thereby comprising their identity. However, a DvD, that describes the insane cost of these materials and the basic tenets behind them, could have some effect. We may want to consider what you might call the AoL effect. By dropping tons of DvDs, many of them may be used as drink coasters as I did AoL disks from the early 90's. Back in the days of the LMT, there used to be yearly candlelight vigils; continuing this abandoned tradition can only help our cause. The financial ideas, while good in purpose, will allow for the public to see Anonymous in the same light as I perceive canvassers. This may be a product of my own bias, but I know the majority of such funds go to the door-to-door folks who are soliciting donations. We are not a scam, and we should protect the inherent integrity of our cause. I think we should continue the positive, and amusingly disseminated message, to keep up the Lulz and Caek for everyone involved. Hope to see you in DC on July 19th. :guyfawkes: Caekmaster
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! I have an idea I have been toying with for a while. The first time I heard about guardian art, I knew that Anonymous had to have an answer for this, so I made up "Lulz-fu", the self defense of the interwebs featuring devastating techniques like the Falcon Punch, Barrel Roll, and C-c-c-c-combo breaker. How about mini-raids on guardian art centers? Dress as ninjas, hand out fliers showing links between Co$ and guardian art, bonus points if we peacefully protest, get assaulted, and somebody gets it on film. -Guy Faux
Re: Brainstorm Megathread! I hope this point is not being duplicated by me (I have been checking out the posts but one can get lost in the maze of all the other posts!!!) What I want to draw to Annon's attention is L Ron Hubbad wrote and is connected to a book called 'THE BRAINWASHING MANUAL' This can be found quite easily on google and LRH's son Ron Delwolfe said the book was written by his father. I would like to provide the links but I am a retard when it come to computing! What I want to say is this is so devestaing to the Chult of $cientology to have 'THE BRAINWASHING MANUAL' connected to them it could be the undoing of the Cult itself. I tried to read some of "THE BRAINWASHING MANUAL' and it totally is written in L Ron Hubbard's confusing writing style. As an ExScientologist I believe it is of Hubbard's pen. This needs to be BROADLY KNOWN!!!! This should be connected to Scientology like a rash!! I believe this is important enough to be a Protest Theme or Topic! L Ron Hubbard used to tell his followers 'I love MILFS' meaning 'Minds I'd Like to Fuck!!"
