Did he crap his pants?
'Killing Gaddafi easy cover-up for West deals'
Libya government officials have confirmed the death of Colonel Gaddafi. The news comes from the city of Sirte, which has reportedly been overrun by government forces. Officials say Gaddafi had serious injuries to both his legs. But the latest we've heard from the National Transitional Council is that the Colonel has died from his wounds. One of Gaddafi's sons has also reportedly been killed in Sirte. But the influential Saif Al-Islam, his eldest son, has reportedly been captured alive.
How many people has he killed or ordered killed begged for their lives?
"Died in battle" lol. More like "Died after being dragged out of a storm drain," amirite?
Al-Jazzera said he was alive & bleeding as he was pushed & beaten as he was pushed through a gauntlet of very angry fighters... serves him right.. the dictator finally realized he was no longer in power...and then he died.
They should hang him by his feet in a Tripoli square for all his victims to see... like they did with Mussolini.
There's a video of that. Speaking of which, Gaddafi goredox now have their own thread in the dome.
What do you define as gory? Beaten & bloody people seems to be a normal theme in TV horror films.
Now the battle for the future of Libya begins.
I would like to point out to Libya that, from a human rights and welfare perspective, the least worst islamic country in the middle east by far is Turkey, where they had enough sense to separate fascist superstition from state.
The tyrants of Romania were the same.
Pleading for their lives, like theirs were any more important than the ones they had ruined for decades.
Seems to be a character flaw of utter sociopaths.
I'm sad it took so many lives to take down this bastard...
Check out the thread and you tell me:
Anyhow, it's not my definition of gore at work, so much as WWP's keep the upstairs safe for work policy. Personally I find that pictures of real life people beaten to bloody pulps have a certain je ne sais quois--call it poignancy--that seems impossible to reproduce with special effects. But I'm no connoisseur.
And nothing of value was lost.

"Another great innovator who started in the 80's and regained popularity recently has died," Colin Quinn tweeted. "Say hello to Mr. Jobs, Mr. Khaddafi."
Comedian Albert Brooks: "Gaddafi killed. Libyans rejoice. Just For Men stock plummets." Later, "Just For Men releases statement: "We can lose Gaddafi, we still have Mubarak and Gene Simmons."
Comedian Seth Meyers: "I don't know guys. That Gaddafi picture just looks like Gene Simmons after a KISS concert."
Calls for Probe of Gadhafi's Violent Death
Mounting calls for an investigation into whether Moammar Gadhafi was executed in custody overshadowed plans by Libya's new rulers Sunday to declare liberation and a formal end to the eight-month civil war that toppled the longtime dictator.
"The bullet hole in Gaddafi's head, and the other wounds, could help solve the riddle of whether, as Libya's new rulers said, he was shot in crossfire in a battle or, as some accounts suggest, he was killed by the fighters who caught him. A local military commander in the city of Misrata, where the forces which captured him took his body, said "over-enthusiastic" fighters took matters into their own hands when they came face to face with the man they despise.
"We wanted to keep him alive but the young guys, things went out of control," he said speaking on condition of anonymity. Few people in Libya -- where thousands of people, including civilians, were killed by Gaddafi's forces in the seven-month rebellion -- say they are troubled by the manner of his death."
In one of the first videos that was released after he was captured, someone claimed to have taken Gaddafi's gold gun and shot him with it. He was later shown standing in the back of a pickup waving the gun.
I believe in due process in law. I'll worry about this alleged lack of same after I've addressed all the other priorities in my life including vacuuming out the dust bunnies from the rafters in my garage. Then I'll get right on it.
Quick! Call the Poetic Justice League of America! They'll send Schadenfreude Man to sort it all out.
I'll laugh if he can't get across the border.
Schadenfreude iz everywhere!
New Video Surfaces of Gadhafi Capture
A Libyan rebel group has posted more graphic video online that appears to show Moammar Gadhafi after he was captured. Human rights activists are concerned he may have been executed and want his death investigated.
Gaddafi to be buried in secret desert grave: NTC | Reuters
Ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi will be buried on Tuesday in a secret desert grave, a National Transitional Council official said, ending a wrangle over his rotting corpse that led many to fear for Libya's governability.
With their Western allies uneasy that Gaddafi was battered and shot after his capture on Thursday, rebels had put the body on show in a cold store while they argued over what to do with it, until its decay forced them on Monday to close the doors.
"He will be buried tomorrow in a simple burial with sheikhs attending the burial. It will be an unknown location in the open desert," the official told Reuters by telephone, adding that the decomposition of the body had reached the point where the "corpse cannot last any longer."
Libya: ICC Has Evidence Against Gaddafi's Son
The International Criminal Court has "substantial evidence" that Saif al Islam Gaddafi committed crimes against humanity, its chief prosecutor said. Luis Moreno-Ocampo said multiple witnesses had claimed Saif was involved with organising attacks against civilians.
The Hague-based International Criminal Court (ICC) accuses Saif of hiring mercenaries to carry out a plan worked out with his father, who was killed after being captured by Libyan revolutionary fighters more than a week ago.
The ICC has also said the 39-year-old son of Libya's ousted leader was in contact through intermediaries about surrendering for trial.
It is thought mercenaries may now be trying to move Saif to Niger, where other members of his father's fallen regime have already fled.
The aid-reliant country has vowed to respect commitments to the ICC, but it also faces a backlash from Tuareg nomads in its north if it hands over Saif.
Colonel Gaddafi was regarded by many in Niger's Saharan areas as a hero for backing past rebellions against the capital.
Mr Moreno-Ocampo said: "There are some people connected with (Saif) that are in touch with people connected with us. We have some information that there is a mercenary group trying to help him to move to a different country, so we are trying to prevent this activity. Some of them are South Africans allegedly."
What violent last hours.. Quite axiomatic for all destruction that's been caused!
Well at least we know why we were there now.
Thank NATO that we went in and replaced a dictator like QG(u)ad(d)fi with such tolerant people.
Yeah, that's well sourced.
Niger to grant asylum to Gaddafi son
Niger president, Mahamadou Issoufou, has confirmed Saturday that his country will grant asylum to Saadi Gaddafi, a son of the former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, reports Al Jazeera. "We have agreed on granting asylum to Saadi Gaddafi for humanitarian reasons," he said. Saadi entered neighboring Niger after escaping across the border when NTC forces captured the capital Tripoli in August. Saadi is a businessman and a professional football player.
Because all that bribe money will do the Nigerian economy a world of good!
Gaddafi's son captured by Zintan fighters
I'm really glad they got one of the Gaddafis alive. One of them should be around to witness what comes next.
Occupy Gaddafi - Saif Gaddafi's London home seized
Squatters occupying a north London house owned by Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the second son of the Libyan dictator, say the £10-million property "belongs to the Libyan people".
don't know if any of you are still actively following events in libya these days. as we come up to the first anniversary of the revolution to take back the country from Gaddafi and his goons, it is great to be back. the mood of the people is one of optimism and looking to the future. sure there are a lot of diehard old guard assholes trying to do bidness as usual, but they are being rooted and and there is change...it's ever so slow, and so painful. lots of guns (unfortunately still around - not so much on the street, but they are around) electoral law has finally been approved and local elections are taking place. no one said it would be easy, but the snail's pace is at one level down to self sabotage and the reticence on the part of those in power to get the message as to what transparency means and on the other part by fear of taking any responsibility --- old habits die hard. by the same token the understanding of what FREE and DEMOCRATIC Libya means is manifesting itself in some of the most ridiculous ways (like people going on strike to get a new boss cause they don't like the current one) but these growing pains will work themselves out.
life goes on, but in Free Libya!
just to update -- the Feb 17 celebration was purely down to the people of Tripoli and it was incredible.
! - you may want to turn the volume off...it's celine dion!
it's election day here in Libya....Feb17 seems so far away now! an incredible and emotion filled day AND it's hotter than hell 90F and it's only 10 am! Free Libya at last!
