Camelot Castle Hotel Tintagel and Scientologists John & Irina Mappin and Ted Stourton

Camelot Castle Hotel. Warning! 140 'terrible' 1* TripAdvisor reviews. Do your research! These people are pushing scientology on guests, visitors, staff and local residents

Camelot Castle Hotel in Tintagel, Cornwall is a run-down hotel with masses of negative press online. For most people it's a creepy place where the owners try to sell guests awful paintings, bad accomodation and scientology ideas. If you take the time to check out what most of the world thinks of scientology, that's probably bad enough.

Want to know more about Camelot Castle Hotel and its scientologist owners, then read this interesting thread

More serious, however, are allegations made by past employees about their treatment by the scientologists - from appalling living conditions to the forced indoctrination of the Polish workers into the cult and even the 'disappearance' of those who question the cult ethos.

Online reviews are split between the 'truly dreadful, house of horror' reviews and what appear to be 5* fake reviews posted by hotel 'friends'.

If you're thinking about staying there and have found this thread - take a good hard look at the discussions you will find everywhere online about this hotel and about scientology - the 'religion' that this hotel is being used as a front for. This week, the hotel owners Mappin and Stourton mass-mailed the people of Tintagel a scientology DVD in their attempt to recruit more parents and educators to their cult.

Scientology targets the most vulnerable people to recruit. Children, drug addicts, criminals in jail and struggling artists for starters (see their 'education' DVDs, Narconon and Criminon programmes as well as Camelot Castle Hotel's 'artist in residence' scheme offering free 'accommodation').

If that all sounds a bit heavy, let e tell you the basics of what scientologists are all about.

Lols - filthy Eengleesh Ker-niggets! Those old Rovers, eh? I actually remember riding in one of them... 1973 I think it was. And no, it wasn't at her Majesty's pleasure either, before you ask :)

    Hello Google visitors.

Welcome to Why We Protest - a site set up by Anonymous to bring to the world's attention what Scientology is really like.

If you came here because you Googled 'Camelot Castle Hotel' I expect you are one of three kinds of people:

    1) You're the owners and their scientology friends, in which case: "Hello John, Ted, Irina, Marek and all. Wake up to the 21st century. It's the era of the internet you can't hide the bad news about scientology any longer. We hope you find the things that Anonymous is uncovering about you and your activities at Camelot Castle Hotel interesting"

    2) You're someone who has stayed there, in which case: "Hi, how was it? Why not share your experience of Camelot Castle Hotel this thread and see if you recognise any of the things the Anons are talking about? The good thing about posting here is that, unlike TripAdvisor, we won't pull it down when Ted complains because he doesn't like what you've said - nor will any scientologists fill this thread with fake positive reviews (mostly because they're not allowed to read suppressive and critical material like this)"

    3) You're someone who is thinking of staying there and you've Googled to see what it's like, in which case: "Read the stuff here and on other sites about Camelot Castle Hotel and scientology and make up your own mind. If what you read does worry you but you're going to go anyway, make yourself useful and bring back your videos, pictures and impressions to share with the wider world"

I always think it is important, in any thread to do with Camelot Castle Hotel, Tintagel to reiterate that the scientologist owner of the hotel, John Mappin, has been convicted of fraud, conning a guy out of over £77,000. See this bizarre story.....
BBC News | FILM | Binman wins 'rubbish' film case
Nevermind the fact that it is a crappy hotel and he's a moonbat scientologist on a recruitment drive, who the hell would want to stay in a hotel run by a fraudster? Also, what holiday tour company would want a fraudster as a client. It would be interesting if any such companies have delt with Mappin and had trouble getting money out of him for commission or refunds for crappy rooms/service or if he has renegged on any deals.

I would be surprised if that hasn't occurred; it is, after all, standard Scientology policy - Scientology's nonpayment of bills: project.htm

Sponge, I applaud your diligence in re-iterating the key objections against 'the Cornish place' also known to us non-superstitious people as 'The Camelot Castle Hotel in Tintagel'.

How cool is that - a name that's only 1/4 true. It's nothing to do with Camelot (really), it's not a castle. Can you guess the other bit that's clearly not true? :)

Visitors to the hotel should take note that while by name they refer to themselves as the Camelot Castle Hotel (in Tintagel, run by scientology nutbags Mappin and Stourton) there's a sign as you drive into the car park referring to it as a Bed & Breakfast!

Next time you have a medical check up, better get a liver panel done. Those "pills" could be toxic. Why are they giving out pills? They're not doctors!

Re: Camelot Castle Hotel Tintagel and Scientologists John & Irina Mappin and Ted Stou

You mean that Mappin and Stourton, the pair of scientologist muppets, one of whom has a conviction for fraud, are pretending that they can treat people in a medical style at the creepy camelot castle hotel in Tintagel. I hope nobody is foolish enough to stay at the weird camelot castle hotel in Tintagel where they will be at the mercy of that convicted fraudster Mappin and the third rate artist Stourton.

well i had to take those pills because i was little ill and they gave it to me. i didn't know that they are scientologist then and they told me that those were just some vitamins.
it was a small bag with 6-8 pills in it. i took it and i could feel that my whole body was burning. my skin was red but after half an hour i felt better.
later i've read that there were vitamins but for example vit b was (in 1 pill) 300% more than normal person supposed to take.

Re: Camelot Castle Hotel Tintagel and Scientologists John & Irina Mappin and Ted Stou

That was niacin. It causes burning sensations and reddening of the skin in high doses.

Niacin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Pharmacological doses of niacin (1.5 - 6 g per day) often lead to side effects that can include dermatological conditions such as skin flushing and itching, dry skin, skin rashes including acanthosis nigricans. Gastrointestinal complaints, such as dyspepsia (indigestion) and liver toxicity [fulminant hepatic failure], have also been reported. Side effects of hyperglycemia, cardiac arrhythmias and "birth defects in experimental animals" have also been reported.[23] The flush lasts for about 15 to 30 minutes, and is sometimes accompanied by a prickly or itching sensation, in particular, in areas covered by clothing."

The $ci's like to pretend that this sensation is your body flushing toxins from your body, such as radiation... no, seriously.

yes it was exactly like that! and they told me exact the same things that this was my body flushing toxins from my body

oh, and no, you were not stupid, you just got conned by some slick, flawed logic, wich is all part of the scam. The $ci's talk a good game but it's scientific foundation is hogwash.
