    Sorry if you guys have done this one already...

    My cousin tells me the tech podcasts are all abuzz with the methods Iran is using to block the internet and communications - and the suspicion is that the time zone on computers is one thing they may be using to block email/tweets, etc.

    He told me to change my computer to Tehran time. He says:

    "the idea is that it will confuse the measures they are taking if suddenly millions of machines show up using I-time . No one knows if it will work."

    Worth a shot, right?
  2. Yes it does work. set your twitter location to "Tehran" and time to "+3.30 GMT" to confuse their censors. Then crank out some Fearless Iranians from Hell a 1980s punk band of expat persians in teh usa [ame][/ame]

    No, not just twitter - I mean the time your actual computer is running on.
  4. Won't do anything to change Windows time.
