He has a really dry sense of humor, and the way he talks at the raids, it sounds like he is narrating. Now he just needs the visuals. For instance, he was walking with me during the one-person spitting contest which he and I opted out of, and he says, without missing a beat: "There it is! Now THAT'S [real] Scientology!" What else? Lynn says she used to be on staff with Ken Moxon, before - as she put it - he was a jerk. This was pre-law school for him. Talking of which, I got comments from fellow protestors about how I wasn't loud enough (dude - it was AGP thar and Smurf! Who's loud compared with them?) but Lynn has this little voice and has such awesome things to say! Frank was trolling us about how none of us knew about Scientology, including Lynn, who pointed out, "I was a Class A auditor." That didn't shut him up, of course. Smurf had some good stories, some of them you might already know, though I heard them for the first time. Apparently, one day Frank came out with Smurf's PC folder and was reading it aloud to him, and at some point, he had to hand it to Smurf and ask, "What's this word?" Smurf talked, too, of when he was in OSA of how he was told he could take a nap in one of the infamous Big Blue bunk bed-infested dorm rooms. He said there were brown stains on the mattresses, and the sheets were brown and crusty but he didn't care -- he was so tired he just lay down and zonked out, though he awoke with bites on him. I asked, don't they get to do laundry? And Lynn pointed out that they only get 1/2 day off every two weeks, and they're so exhausted, they just sleep. So the sheets never get washed. Never.

Thanks for the awesome raid! The music was great, the dancing even more so, and we got some great support from the public! The Sciborgs have no dadgum sense of humor at all. Think they will give us a copy of the video they shot of us if we ask nicely? Drove by after we called it a day, the scaredy cats were finally leaving, and Chalk Tech was still in place! Thanks! I had a blast and we will be doing it again soon! One thing I loved was the MARKED contrast to the Scilons scurrying past us afraid to make eye contact or lurking at the edges-- they were so DOUR looking and we were having such a good time, that the public couldn't help but notice. Most of the public walking by felt safe to talk to us, ask us questions or give us words of encouragement and they got obvious creepy vibes from the poor Sci saps. I had some great conversations with tourists and passersby. And you guys made a GREAT presence-- the fun music, the visual splash was tremendous and EXTREMELY effective. People hovering around with masks and signs can be intimidating to John Q. Public, but you guys made it FUN and approachable, whilst making the point. Staff looked so sad and tense and the place just reeked of misery. How could anyone want to go into that black hole of creepiness? They sure aren't doing a good job selling the joy of Dianetics very well! They are stupid if they think the public don't pick up on their fearful, desperate vibe. Ugh. I wanted to take them all down to the local watering hole and buy them a pitcher of beer and a pizza and tell them to LIGHTEN UP, for goodness sake. TL;dr Good time had by all, do again soon. R
