Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Hot damn! UK Government urges councils to stop giving tax breaks to Scientology! Like the Australia situation, it doesn't look as though anything concrete has happened yet, but it's another gov'mint that seems to be waking up, and this is a huge step in the right direction. What happened - did the site expire? We have ChicagoSaysNo.tk, but it didn't seem to be getting much use. 9376, are you still interested in admin'ing it? I still want a backup place in case WWP goes under for a long time.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning yes. i can go 6 hours to minneapolis but not 1 to chicago. megaraid is megaraid. also: KEVIN FREEMAN WENT TOO. WHERE WERE THE REST OF THE CHIFAGS!!! lol.

Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning ^ Haha, what the hell was that? Was that the young woman with the ipod in the video? Also, what's the deal with the Dracula character? I don't get who that is or what the connection to us is supposed to be.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Seriously? Coltice to Strong Strength, come in Strong Strength.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Well Done!!! Grota looks perfect as a wolfman. Outstanding casting!
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Yeah, I'll totally still admin. Get all reg'd up at ChicagoSaysNo.TK and I'll work on backing up when I'm not midterms.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Don't worry. This thread is for planning. The plan is set. What else needs to be said? I am sure there will be a good turn-out this Saturday to see how you deal with the police.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Anyone want to bring an MP3 player to be part-time deejay for us? Don't forget to be prepared for the rain we're supposed to get this weekend. You best be trolling. OK, but no need to go through a lot of trouble for us. I'm cool if it's inactive too, just as long as people are aware it's there as a backup.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Important update! A courtesy notification was made to the funeral home about tomorrow's demonstration, because that's usually the corner of the intersection where we gather up. I talked to a different person this time, a guy whom I assume was the owner or the person in charge. He expressed understanding of our right to protest, but they said they would prefer that we not be on "their" corner every month we're out there. Originally, he seemed to think the reason we were on their particular corner was because of some dark, macabre reference to the masks (i.e. "scary") and a funeral home (i.e. something do with dying). I quickly cleared this misconception up and told him that we were there in part because we like the visibility of the intersection and because of the ongoing legal dispute about where we're allowed to demonstrate. But I also said I would pass their concerns along to you guys. I might suggest changing the "home base" for this month to the corner at that same intersection which has the St. Alphonsus Catholic church on it, because they don't have services until 5 p.m., and they've never expressed any issues with us being there. The way I see it, it's as good as any other corner, there's plenty of room there, and it might be a nice gesture towards the funeral home (who have been really nice to us). But it's up to you. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of this.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Certainly would be a lot easier if we could...oh, I don't know...protest in front of the Org! I guess it will have to be St. Alphonsus then. What other option is there?
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning If I understand the previous posts correctly, we were just going to gather or set-up at the funeral home before moving to the org. So we could gather/set-up at the church just as well before moving everyone to the org. Depending on how things go with the police, we could retreat back to the church if we need to.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning inorite? Don't know of any good alternatives. I think the corner with the bank is out due to the lack of space, and I'd rather dodge any controversy over the masks looking sketchy there if possible. The other corners at that intersection are arguably too close to the org to avoid whining. Sounds good to me. We can just move "home base" from the corner of the funeral home to the corner of the Catholic church. It's at the same intersection and everything. Map again:
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning so we meet at our "home base" intersection around noontime? I'll be there. I'm quite sick, but i'll be there basically as a quiet, (rather) warm body. srsly i'm not even going to class today, but we're only reviewing for the exam next week, so i don't care all that much. I BRING MY IPOD FOR YOU THOUGH! SO AT LEAST I CAN BE SEMI USEFUL! SOMEONE BRING SOME SPEAKERTHING PLEASE! I'll just throw together a quick playlist before i head out to walk the dog. IF Y'ALL AREN'T THERE, I'm GONNA BE VERY UPSET. but will most likely placate myself with food and/or coffee.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Just letting you know, i AM coming but I won't be there 'til closer to two thirty. I hope you're all bad enough dudes to still be goin' for a bit after that.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Better not be Jethro Tull. On another note, I'll be there, slightly delayed due to the weather, but I'll be there.
Re: Chicago - October 2010 - Planning Can any of uyou guys give directions to the org from oglve? I had them before but they got lost when I updated my phone.
