A supporter came and dropped off a pile of LRH biography books found dirt cheap at a secondhand store! Brand new, some still in the shrink wrap.
Not much action to report, but I suppose that's a reasonable indicator of downstat. The building is still in poor condition, perhaps because they're cinching their belts to open the ideal org.
Don't hold your breath for the Idle Org to open anytime soon. They're in litigation with the City of Chicago for having abandoned the building and the resulting fines, still unpaid, are accruing.
Although I think I saw about two people go in the org, and Dom never came out and had a proper hissy fit, I nevertheless had a great time with the Chicago gang! Just got back to -- as some would call it - "Frisco" (which, if you're going to have to deface the name of San Francisco, is a preferable moniker to "San Fran") and still need to upload video. Love you guys!!
Very nice! Loved how you visually contrast the claims Scientology purports in their Chicago front window with the reality... PS: StrongStrength! You're completely fired from introducing me to any other guy I might happen to have a crush on!
As Etta James would have it: at last... I swear it wasn't on purpose, but my camera roll revealed an inordinate number of pictures of ThetanBait. I can't imagine anyone complaining, (apart from that one guy): CHICAGO'S BEST SMILE! This is so not usually the expression on his face that Paladin has. But since he's always so cheerful and friendly, I'm posting it because it makes the photo kind of funny... These are the only ones I got of sweetest Dra: Didn't get any pics of Darth Xander (sorry, ladies!) Vids later...
Thanks to our guests for visiting, S2G & TB rock! This was a fun day (though rather boring). Felt good to be back out there. I only took a few pictures of the window displays (which as always are dismal). I am really surprised the owner of that building hasn't been hit with a ton of fines for how dilapidated it looks.
That was the thing, no? "Nothing" happened, but I still had fun. Hard to capture that feeling on film. (The pursuit of such a thing serves as my excuse to posting somewhat embarrassing footage of my dancing! )
Okay, so here's a bookend for this thread (and a shameless plug for moog's video!) -- Starting just around nine minutes, I talk about the Chicago org:
