if the cult was to get there way..a Big IF..they would have to fund it...and Pay to buy up the property along the route they wanted...tough to pull off with several land owners involved as well as planned developments standing in their way..

a smart land owner would hold them up for a cool "billion dollars" for a piece of his swampland.... you want it "pay up suckers"..

then they have the insurmountable task of negotiating with every land owner. good luck with that.. I am pretty sure your neighbors know you suck..

then you are at the mercy of contractors...and cost over runs..and your payouts increasing because of lowball estimates..the exorbitant cost of planning...construction material delays..market fluctuations in the cost of materials during the construction..the cost of safety issues and inspections..insurance costs..etc. you'll bleed massive amounts of $$$$

it will cost as much as the Superpowers project to pull off...especially the way the putz Davy micromanages every crummy project..

think of it as "Miscaviage's last stand"... to isolate the main cult compound from society entirely.

Davy is just like the arrogant General George Armstrong Custer at the Battle of the little Big Horn...muttering to himself..."where did all these muther$ucking Indians come from!!!??!!" your clueless..

no matter how much money they spend on a study..or how unsafe you claim it is...You are not squeezing on Red cent or any Tax Dollars...to pay for your pipe dreams anymore...

Pay up or shut up and take your medicine like a Man...

If the road realignment is "accepted" as an amendment to the county general plan ("GPA"), then the land parcel acquisitions might be available through the government's power of eminent domain. The Supreme Court has provided liberal latitude of court discretion for redevelopment purposes.

That could realize substantial reductions in what private parties could ask, as they would be under the threat of a biased land value appraisal and possible seizures by a judge of a local county court.

That might be why the midget-in-chief is going the GPA route.

An elevated bridge near the compound would be to the aid of anyone who would theorize trajectories of a "tom cruise missile".

If it's isolation they want, they have a perfectly good concrete bunker out in Trementina. They could make their RPF slaves run in circles around that alien landing strip thingy. It'll be a great setting for a heroic last stand when the Kool-aid gets passed around...
  5. Re: Church officially seeks closure - Gilman Springs Road

The only thing "dangerous" about this road is that it leads to a cult compound with spikes on both sides of their restraining walls for Scientology's slave labor camp. A closed road will be the only access to their scamming enterprise's headquarters.

    P. S. L. Ron Hubbard has been totally exposed a lying, abusive, convicted fraud with no legitimate credentials in anything ............well.............cept..........Science Fiction nonsense and commiting fraud on an astronomical level.

David Miscavige is a fine example of the result of overexposure to Hubbard's "teachings", he's the "ecclesiastical leader" of this organisation, give me a break. yes, that means it's a total bullshit "religion".

Don't the authorities have the balls to go inside this creepy, abusive compound or even inquire about punished members held in Scientology's prison?

    Where's Shelley Miscavige, btw? Dave?

Okay, I'll take this on. A couple of points:

I'm not trying to single you out and I realize this is, or feels like, an informal discussion among friends--but this problem is rampant across the forums and deserves attention. We spend too much time preaching to the choir. Not everyone who comes here for information (including journalists and researchers) already agrees with the assumptions behind many posts. Two really important standards will greatly enhance the usefulness and credibility of posts:

Make precise assertions and back them up with evidence.

Avoid obviously slanted language--it may feel good to spew venom but it destroys your credibility in the eyes of anyone who doesn't already agree with you. And even to some of those.

A comment from the PE article:

"I heard that the Church's Attorney Alhadeff and his side-kick Temecula Councilmember Mike Naggar have threatened the City of San Jacinto, that if they dont go along with this, they will challenge every environmental documetn for every project--thereby killing progress in our fair city."

If safety is the issue with the current road, why aren't folks pushing to widen and straighten it withing the existing easements?? No need for a new road then.

The cult is now throwing a curveball. Instead of asking for Gilman Hot Springs Road to be deleted from the road circulation plan, they're asking instead for a study of moving that segment of road onto neighbor's properties.

The Jan. 11 Riverside BOS agenda contains an item related to Gilman Springs Road. Samuel Alhadeff is involved, so it probably concerns Gold Base:

Riverside County Board of Supervisors - Agenda Jan. 11, 2011
    http://rivcocob.com/agenda/2011/01_11_2011.htm

15.1 TRANSPORTATION & LAND MANAGEMENT AGENCY/PLANNING: GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 1091 (ENTITLEMENT/POLICY-CIRCULATION ELEMENT) – Building Management Services/Samuel Alhadeff – Hemet/San Jacinto Zoning District – San Jacinto Valley Area Plan – 3rd District. The Planning Director recommends that the Board tentatively decline to adopt an order initiating proceedings for the above-referenced plan general amendment to amend the Circulation Element of the Riverside County General Plan by removing approximately 2.32 miles of Gilman Springs Road between State Route 79 and Soboba Road from the circulation element and to evaluate alternatives to re-align the subject portion of Gilman Springs Road.

    pdf file re 15.1: http://rivcocob.com/agenda/2011/01_11_11/15.01.pdf

    The pdf file says:
RECOMMENDED MOTION: The Planning Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors tentatively decline to adopt an order initiating proceedings for General Plan Amendment No. 1091 that proposes to remove an approximately 2.32 mile segment of Gilman Springs Road from the General Plan Circulation Element, but to adopt an order initiating General Plan Amendment No. 1091 as modified by staff and the applicant to evaluate re-alignment options for the subject 2.32 miles of Gilman Springs Road. The initiation of proceedings by the Board of Supervisors for the amendment of the General Plan, or any element thereof, shall not imply any such amendment will be approved.

Those interested in opposing this latest gambit from the cult, can use the references from the proposal ("General Plan Amendment 1090"), to research and identify local landowners (using the online Riverside County Assessor's website functions) to contact and urge them to oppose (in writing to the County) this latest attempt to unnecessarily re-route a 100 foot wide road through their lands.

Affected properties are indicated by APN (Assessor Parcel numbers):

If required, the background surrounding this latest move starts at this point in the thread:
    http://forums.whyweprotest.net/249-...ure-gilman-springs-road-57860/10/#post1347903

For reference, the source doc quoted in above Jan 11 BOS agenda....

    http://www.tlma.co.riverside.ca.us/planning/content/hearings/pc/2010/pc110310_agenda/roa_110310.pdf

Btw, does anyone know how badly the proposed development area (and where they tentatively expect to re-route that portion of Gilman Springs Road) suffered from the recent heavy storms in the region?
Ya know, I'm guessing there's a reason that the area next to a dry riverbed with a known history for flash flooding has remained unused other than by cows. I wouldn't buy a property there.

It's jaded opinions like YOURS that allow Chanology to be seen as a bunch of freaks that want to destroy Scientology.

We need to HELP those who want to get out. Not alienate them or tell them that LRH is bad.

It is much easier to let them think their crazy shit, and just bail from the CoS entirely.

Marty is MUCH better than the other options, as long as we get people out of the church, we are winning.

As long as we continue to chip away at CoB's power structure, we will continue to win.
To have such a bombastic view on Scientology is just stupid. You are a high school retard who never gets laid, and has probably never shot any drugs. So, go fuck yourself.

Lets keep fighting the good fight, and help THOSE WHO CANNOT HELP THEMSELVES.

    That is why I started.

Re: Church officially seeks closure - Gilman Springs Road

My, how the lofty image of Anonymous has fallen
that we should be seen in such a pitiable light.

We can do all of the above?

Scientologists aren't listening to the entheta we post on WWP (much).
Part of the screaming at eachother about how horrible LRH and his Super Adventure Club is to remind eachother why we fight.

p.s. we can help people who want to get out, and also tell them the tech fucked up as well if its something they need to hear in the here-and-now. We can, and we do adapt our offered strategies to the individuals as needed.

They will think their crazy shit for months or years after they bail- no matter what we do. Its a slow healing process.

Marty is better than "Scientology in its present form", and better than an-hero.
Are those the only options you can think of?

Chipping away at RTC's power structure WILL solve the problem eventually. OG have done an awesome job chipping away over the last 60 years; I figure they should be almost halfway done by now.

    Why I started:
    Envy and wonder,
at those god damn kids who put on god damn silly masks and posted their bombastic "Message to Scientology" video.

Bunch of freaks who decided that this organization should be destroyed.
For the good of its followers
    For the good of mankind
    For the laughs

    :)

(and because even in these recessionary times, Pfizer STILL pays more for picketing Scientology than for a desk job shuffling paperwork.)

Re: Church officially seeks closure - Gilman Springs Road

Unfortunately they would probably use RPF chain gangs to keep the project dirt cheap ! Remember Miscavage used his poor little 6 year old niece to haul rocks . There is nothing stopping him from building a new road that way ! Pathetic but true ! If it happens like that we ANONS should at least show how much we care by setting up hydration stations for the children . Imagine the viral storm those vids would create !

How many is that these days? Isn't there like less than 500 total on the base these days? (Including all the non-RPF people.)

Also, while Davie can use RPF for private projects on the base, a public road might involve labor laws, construction unions, wog inspectors to make sure the project was done to real standards, etc.

  27. I'm sorry, but this is anon. If they want a hugbox that is sensitive to their delicate natures there are plenty of forums such as ESMB, OCMB, and MR2. They can go there for coddling. If they're gonna blow, they're gonna blow. There's quite a few exes that credit Anonymous for their awakening, warts and all. They're gonna haveta get the truth about Hubbard somewhere.

You know that if Davey boy had his way he would have a 6 year old chain gang hauling rocks 12 hours a day in the middle of July ! I still think that we should setup hydration stations up for all the RPF chain gangs ! Just to show we care of course ! ( And a little sample of OTIII would be nice too ! )

Sounds like someone has their balls in a vice. On the other hand, the conclusions of a CoS-funded study might be suspect.

On the gripping hand, any road safety issues can be addressed with work within the existing easement.
  36. xenubarb Member

Notice that Stone did not come out yea or hell naw for the proposal. He just said the county shouldn't have to pay for it.

What else I find interesting is the issue of how to deal with all the small businesses that have sprung up in the past ten years. This might have been feasible once. A growing population and encroaching development might make it too costly. They tried to close the road ten years ago and a mighty baww arose from annoyed motorists. And now there are more of them.

Scientology might implode before they get that road closure. Tick tock, DM

So COS paid $8,000 so that the road closure would be considered? I guess that's a drop in the bucket for the cult. As long as they can get a chance in getting that road closed and having Gold become more secluded.
If that road ever closes, Riverside should be held responsible for allowing the world to be cut off even more for the "residents" there.
They are already responsible for allowing abuses to continue. They have been warned, and still do nothing about it.

    Hello!

I don´t know if this is the right forum...
I am very worried, because I am renting a room in Lyngby, Copenhague (Denmark). I have searched the address and I have found that it fits with a house of the Scienciology. Could you help me? Please look for this:

Don't post personal info here, Scientology watches this site carefully.
This should be posted in a different thread.
If the Scientology enterprise bothers you, you can move.
If you signed a lease, but you absolutely have to get out, you could try to sublet, or break the lease and suffer the financial penalty.

It's quite possible that this mission no longer exists at that address. If there are no visible copies of Dianetics or other books by L. Ron Hubbard lying around, I wouldn't worry very much.
