Re: CofS Exit Survey is now Live!

Thks! I added to ^^this to current image album with the other charts and graphs.

re: lack of upward trend someone predicted we might see this month after the AC360 special. Its my suspicion that we might of been of having some premature wishful thinking going on with thinking that there would be a noticeable an increase in survey takers this soon after the Anderson Cooper series.

If the CNN features did indeed lend some momentum to the exodus of members leaving the church - it might take a couple months yet for the noob exes to surface in noticeable numbers and make their way thru the "waking up process" and sort out the shit ton of info on the internet before finding their way to our survey info.

but I'm working up the courage to put on a full body condom and venture further into FZ forums before next batch of monthly reports gets published, in a [STRIKE]valiant[/STRIKE] foolhardyWTH attempt to get some more survey takers from the other side of the fence. So hopefully next month we'll see the line spike abit steeper (fingers crossed)

Meanwhile, for all the former scilons in the anon ranks who havent bothered to sit thru the survey yet JUST DO EEEEET cuz every voice counts, and we still need to gather a couple hundred more respondents to have some eye popping numbers to make good use of the published results.

Re: CofS Exit Survey is now Live!

Hey ho what do you know, the CofS Exit Survey still lives!!

I gave this project a short rest when more important efforts were getting underway on the aussie senate hearing and IAS refund fronts in order to keep out of the way of srs bizness. But I figured it was high time to pull her back off the sidelines and get the survey results reporting going again.

From here on out, I'll be publishing updates (and groveling for more survey takers to participate) every 2-3months or so. We will also have one full year invested in this data collection effort come December of 2010.

The latest round of survey results is now available for your viewing pleasure:

As of Oct 16, 2010 with 298 respondents
(see also wiki page showcase for a comprehensive project index, the following info is mirrored from the "Current Reports" section)

Some interesting charts to ponder... lots more available under the image album, scribd documents and wiki showcase links above.

good idea RightOn! cross-promoting these two projects makes good sense. If you'd like - I'll gladly post Big List promo announcements on the Scientology Exit Survey News Wire from time to time to halp keep it alive & feeding into blogosphere.

If u liek - Just PM me blurbs of what you want to throw out there, and perhaps we can cull feedback/input to ongoing list updates from beyond the scope of forum users via the blog comments.

YES! Thank you!
Please post the link to list from the WWP Wiki!
http://wiki.whyweprotest.net/List_of_ex-Scientology_members_who_have_spoken_out

Bascially, just include some of what is on the WWP Wiki header of the list.
Which is:

"The following is a list of people that have left the official Church of Scientology organization and have spoken out publicly against it. Although some of them still believe in the validity of the core precepts and practice them outside of the the Church of Scientology, all of them have denounced the legitimacy of the organization itself. The names are listed alphabetically by last name. As of the last count, there are 1163 names on this list.

The purpose of this list is to give courage to others who are still in to finally leave, or those who have already left to speak out. Also, perhaps those that are still in may recognize a name they may have known before and are unaware they have left. It is also important to show how extensive this list is, especially now that some senior former members have come forward. The list demonstrates that there is a significant problem with organized Scientology."

Where I bolded "1163 " can be updated as it gorws.

I just forund 83 more names today that should have been added long ago.

Thousands have left, it is past time for them to stand up and be counted!

ok RightOn, I'll put something together and get it posted in next couple days and reply bak on your active project thread.

I was thinking, I'd like to start posting a short weekly bump to the news wire blog featuring info on recommended books/resources for cult exit & recovery. And use that stuff to mix in with the occasional project promo announcement or shoutout post for the survey, the big list & ethercat's through the door interviews efforts should work out nicely methinks.

^^Lovely marriage nearly finished at Church of Scientology Exit Zone and will be formally announced in a new project thread in the near future now that it looks likely the wiki will be coming bak to life.

Meanwhile, the first year of CofS Exit Survey has finally come to a close, and with much thanks and <3 to all who participated. The following update cross posted from ESMB project megathread starting here: CofS Exit Survey - Please Participate! - Page 19 - Ex Scientologist Message Board

And we're proud to announce that we officially passed our 2010 endoyear goal for 350 total responses gathered!!!

The latest round of quarterly survey results is now available for your viewing pleasure:

As of Jan 1, 2010 with 359 total respondents
(wiki page index not available at this time, but shall return soonly.)

** - Now includes 1/3 more data points in the original charts, plus 3 brand new summary chart comparisons (posted below) as /r/ by armchair analystfags who were charting participation stats, and those who wished to see additional layers of detail on progress up the processing side of the bridge related to auditing & OT levels.

*** - Now with more files for summary chart sauce (source files). Fellow number crunchers & researchfags are welcome to play with the new spreashsheet included in the download bundle to spin custom charts just for grins and/or offer suggestions on summary chart improvements/additions for including in future versions of these published reports.

Some highlights well worth perusing & spreading...

Here we have the classic progress up the bridge comparison for processing vs. training, as originally designed by Thetanic & newly improved with more data!

NOTE: ^^This one has been expanded into the other 2 new charts in order to show additional details on auditing & OT levels as /r/'d (see below)

And lastly, an expanded look at processing completions for auditing & OT levels:

For more spiffy graphs and cool charts, check out the image album for this reporting period ( Picasa Web Albums - AnonLover - CofS Exit Sur... ) or see links in post up yonder for the full set published reports.

Thanks again & happy new year to all who took the time to submit out survey. Quarterly updates will continue throughout 2011, and out next target goal is to hit 500 total respondents mark by the end of summer protesting season.

And for those exes who haven't taken the exit survey yet, here's hoping the published results inspire u to be stop being a lazy faggot and the same-old song-m-dance applies...

The latest round of quarterly survey results is now available for your viewing pleasure:

As of April 3, 2011 with 380 total respondents
(crossposted from wiki index: Survey Results - Current Reports)
Interesting factoids about this batch of qtrly updates - we're only up by 20 responses from 4th qtr of 2010, which is understandable since i backed off of promoting this in order to give James R. Lewis his rightful shot as a slimy cult apologist to work the sympathy vote for getting some input on his highly suspect & somewhat slanted survey tool.

Despite that drop in new responses, the 20 that we did get were chock full of old timers rich on experience and nearly 1/2 fell into the 10-15 years in the church bracket while 1/3 were in the > 25 yrs bracket. This gave us some much needed balance in the time-spent demographics so it's all good.

Some highlights well worth perusing & spreading... see image album ling above for moar.

The latest round of quarterly survey results is now available for your viewing pleasure:

As of July 3, 2011 with 400 total respondents
(crossposted from wiki index: Survey Results - Current Reports)
Interesting factoids about this batch of qtrly updates:
We're up by another 20 responses from 1st qtr of 2011, and methinks I really need to start trolling ESMB much harder for poll takers again, or find some new venue of promoting it beyond the anon-friendly camps.

The 20 new ones we got were approx. 50% in the 5-15yrs time spent bracket, and the other 50% fairly evenly spread across all the other time spent demographics for 1+ years in.

Some highlights well worth perusing & spreading... check out the image album link above for many more.

SummaryChart1a.jpg

SummaryChart1b.jpg

SummaryChart2.jpg

(Analytical factoid: note the difference between these next two is ever so slight. Such that it sorta appears at-a-glance there is maybe woolly mammoth sized pothole in the bridge round about 15-20+ years in)
SummaryChart6.jpg

SummaryChart5.jpg

(emerging trend brewing on this last one, the "got help after 10 yrs" qtrly increase tends to be a hair higher than being equal to all the increases everywhere else. eg 16/20 of the new respondents for last qtr got some form of assistance with 9/16 in the after 10yrs category. And this 55-60% vs. 45-40% ratio has persisted for the past 3 qtrs)

my pleasure!

for folks not familiar with this ongoing project, extended info on the published reports is included in the Church of Scientology Exit Survey Dox Collection.

my hope is that once we hit 500 total respondents, we'll be able to recruit some interesting feedback on the info we've gathered from cult experts/academics who are familiar with the chanology movement.

What I get from all this info: kill the mutherfucking purif.

Educate the public about the "detox" scam. No, you can't sweat out toxins because sweat glands don't do that. No, mega niacin just makes you feel flushed. It doesn't actually help you detox anything. And if a toxin can't be named and measured, it's bullshit.

^^This. If we were to get one thing in scientology either banned for being unsafe or requiring some sort of disclosure/disclaimer before being delivered, the purif would be the ideal target because it would have far reaching implications. It would hurt the church's profits, deflate hubbard's credibility to longtime believers, decapitate narconon in general plus create a situation where members who find out they have liver damage from the niacin are compelled to find out the truth & then do something about it.

It's that time again... the latest round of quarterly survey results is now floated for viewing at your websurfing leisure:

As of October 9, 2011 with 414 total respondents
(crossposted from the Exit Zone blog: Scientology Exit Survey Results Published for Q3 2011)
Interesting factoids about this batch of qtrly updates:

The 14 new responses we got in the past quarter stacked up roughly as 1/3 in the 5-15 years spent "in" bracket, 1/3 in the 20+ years spent brackets, and the remaining 1/3 spread across all the other time spent demographics for 3+ years in.

Added Bonus - Cult expert Steven Hassan from the Freedom of Mind Center has graciously agreed to review and critique the findings of this modest attempt by Project Chanology researchfags at amateur scholarship, once we reach 500 respondents.

And here's a few highlights from the latest reporting batch...

Church of Scientology Exit Survey - Your Last Chance to Participate!

Tis the season for me to be for groveling former members of organized Scientology to lend their experiences to the Anony data collection effort that aims to quantify the exodus from the cult. But it appears the reign of this project is coming to an end. Survey Pirate announced their freebie service will be decommissioned on Feb 1st.

So although I had planned to keep it running until we hit 500 respondents, it looks like we might have to settle for a little shy of that goal. More details posted on ESMB here: http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthread.php?15098-CofS-Exit-Survey-Please-Participate!&p=642232#post642232

SurveyPirate notice: http://www.surveypirate.com/blog/decommission-of-surveypirate/

If you are a former member and haven't participated in this project, please do! We've gotten lots of feedback over the past 2yrs about how much of an eye opener the published results are in terms "if it isn't written, it isn't true." And chances are the next batch of published reports (ETA the latter half of January) will be the final round.

To take the online survey see: http://tinyurl.com/CofSExit

Dear former members of the Church of Scientology: Have you participated in the Exit Survey Project from us diehard researchfags on WWP? If not, well then why the hell not? ;)

http://tinyurl.com/CofSExit

This data collection effort will be coming to an end later this month. We had originally hoped to hit 500 total respondents, and as of today we are lingering around the 420 some mark. And for two years, we've been cranking out HARD DATA into the public domain that not only quantifies the reasons & range of the ongoing exodus from the Church of Scientology but provided an invaluable tool for countering the "rapid expansion" bs: http://www.scribd.com/collections/2343853/Church-of-Scientology-Exit-Survey

And let's not forget, the published reporting from this survey also adheres to the "if it isn't written, it isn't true" standard of showing church members who were on the fence that they were not alone. Surely this alone is reason enough for those who didnt want to take the time to participate in yet another boring survey to throw us researchfags from WWP a bone before it ends?

The following infographic is a peak at the current results on one of the more interesting questions. For additional info (and anony groveling), please see my latest post on ESMB here: http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthre...y-Please-Participate!&p=646128#post646128

Already did yours? Awesome! Now how about sharing the link and give me a little help spreading this around to those who didn't take it yet. And TIA! for your support. <3 AL

bump for weekend nagging...

Dear Former Members of the Church of Scientology (Exes & Indies): Have you participated in Anonymous' Exit Survey Project?

If not, please do. This information collection effort comes to a close at the end of January when the service provider shuts down. There is NO EVALUATION involved in the exercise, and your anonymity is well protected. All we set out to do is put HARD DATA in the public domain for use & re-use by everyone that finds it helpful for showing current members they are not alone in their upsets.

It's only 20 questions charting basic factors of your experience with Scientology. Most of which can be skipped past or answered with "No Comment" if you are uncomfortable with it. To participate, please follow this link: http://tinyurl.com/CofSExit

For the currently published reporting, see:
http://www.scribd.com/collections/23...gy-Exit-Survey

And a project overview is available here:
