Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

Does this mean, however, that THEY can't come out, picket, black PR drop and suchlike within 300ft of Anonymous reseidences though?

It's in the middle of a fucking desert. How can it be a 'residential area'? Most of the people that 'live' there are imprisoned there by the cult, or have had their circumstances manipulated by the cult that they are stuck there with nowhere else to go, rather than there by choice.

The only person who actually 'lives' there is Miscavige... who is more than 300ft away from the wall so it doesn't count.

No...see what happens when you stray into a community tainted by Scientology stank?
That's what this is, fool. It has nothing to do with protests or pickets out there, and everything to do with Riverside County kissing cult ass. Just like Clearwater, where democracy and the right to free speech is also curtailed illegally.

Yeah, it do sound like they've already convicted AO in their ratty little paper. But even if that incident had not occurred, this would still be the result.

Now, what are you gonna do about it?

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

Are there ANY dwellings within 300ft of where the protests have taken place?
Or is this to apply to property lines...with some residences somewhere within the property line?

Also, can those loud organ sounds be made near residences then? They seemed to be more of a disturbance.

This the file that is ordinance itself. Well there is a sunshine clause that states that this rule wont take effect till 30 days after its passage. So you have 29 days left to protest at Gold!!! I say that there should be a protest every weekend till the ordinance takes effect!!!

PROTEST GOLD WEEKENDS AT A TIME TILL CHRISTMAS!!!

Of course they are going to have a captive audience because the cult created an environment where there is barbed wired fences and semi-automatic machine guns pointed everywhere in the compound.

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

    Suggestions

    1. check into which buildings are zoned for residential use @ gold

    2. make a detailed overhead map of applicable residential buildings and applicable no-go zones and open new dialogue with the local PD with map and request cooperation so you guys can stay within minimum compliance.

even money the land isnt even zoned right, and if the barracks are zoned for residential I would give 5 to 1 that the buildings near the gate are commercial use only.

I made a nifty range checker in MS paint using google maps but the work internets wont let me do anything but post a quick reply... so I suggest making your own.

    One comment on the arkle:

It is interesting to note that this reporter has already tried and convicted the protestor out at Golden Era Studios. It is also interesting to see how she has simply parroted the cult's accusations. Did you interview the people involved, or just repeat what the cult representatives told you, Julia? It's pretty clear you have already made up your mind.

It's also clear how deep Scientology influence runs in Riverside County. This latest curtailment of free speech rivals Clearwater, Florida's gymnastic bending over for Scientology at the Bill of Rights' expense.

And just where are those "residences" the protestors are supposedly disturbing?

This reporting barely qualifies as such. You people in Riverside should be ashamed of your local government and this joke of a "newspaper," which has never published anything critical of Scientology, despite the fact you have a slave labor camp right in your back yard. Disgusting.

Regular protests until the ordinance goes into effect and then protests at the county?
Or should this go through the courts?

    Alternative headline:
"Riverside County supervisors OK buffer zone to protect protestors from Scientology violence"
  17. Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

Sombody turn on the "Graham Berry" signal. Contacting the ACLU wouldn't hurt either.

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

Isn't it strange that the county feels the need to make a 300 feet buffer zone to protect protestors from violent Scientologists?

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

So if they have effectively mad it illegal to protest at Gold, that leaves what? Downtown Riverside informational raids?
In front of Riverside grocery stores & shopping districts?
    The Laundrymat?

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

I still find it funny they YET AGAIN seeked redefinition of their activities to exploit a legalieze maneuver.

but as I said earlier... check into the zoning. Who knows... the whole place might be zoned wrong and be forced to shut down the RPF barracks due to oversight. Wouldnt that be lulzy eh?

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

Probably not. If they have, they are wilfully ignoring it

Of course they are. But it helps that the sheriff for the time being works for the cult.

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

If they declare it's a "home" ... they have to pass state and county residential zoning and building codes. I don't think a film studio or a guard shack would count.

What is within 300 feet of the road? Google Map or maybe Earth has a measuring tool.
  24. Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

The RPF? You know you can't have protesters disturbing the inmates of Scientology's corrective labour camp.

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

So the paper says its because someone got violent and bit a guard.....nothing about the guards taking them down into the dirt and beating up a woman. Oh jeez.

Also, I thought it was Golden Era Productions, as in a business, or is it a church? Either way, first thing to do: Find out zoning. If it is not residential law cannot apply.

IMO, this is the city trying to stop something that could happen from happening. Remove the easiest part, in this case a few protesters, to try and keep the peace, aka keep the norm.
I deff say ACLU time. Violation of free speech indeed. Reporter is FAIL and should be harpooned to hell and back.

That's probably a good pic to go by. A,B,C,D and F I think are definitely living quarters. Other than that I don't know. At the very least, Scientology will have to designate which buildings are residence and which are not. But still, a sad day for free speech.

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

None of that has anything to do with this.

The Scis cannot stand anyone picketing at Gold. They've already had mass defections from that facility, and that was even before Anonymous came along.

They set up the assault on AO to try and intimidate us and when that obviously didn't work, they took it to their bought off local politicos.

Unfortunately, their heavy handed actions, while perhaps yielding some short term success, ultimately exposes their corruption of local government in Riverside County.

Hopefully the residents there will get sick enough of this to demand a purge or at least throw some of these bums out.

    TO DO:

    • Amerifags contact the ACLU
    • Nearby Anons picket gold steadily for the next 29 days
    • DVDs are burnt of the detention of that stupid cunt AO and the assault of XenuBarb and sent to city council and every paper in the area

    or

    • Sit around and rage on a forum

Edit, ACLU has my email. Waiting for response (I hope they do respond by mail also to the address provided....hehehe.

Here's the info for ACLU SoCal about accepting cases: Information About How the ACLU Accepts Cases

It sounds like we need someone facefagged who's willing to do something. I suggest contacting Graham; he should know how to got about this.

Re: County approves new restrictions on protesting at Gold

He has been charged for battery in addition to trespassing. Some guard probably broke a nail trying to detain him.

And whether or not the charges stick, Rivercide has used AO falling for an incredibly obvious trap to pass an ordinance banning protests.

    Thanks for this AO.
