Holy crap, my old bosses, Tom and Cathy Steiner.

Curious why they got chased away from Southern California, where they owned a very nice home, and fled to southern US.

Tom and Cathy were tasked by DM 20 years ago to turn Berlin from a mission to an org, and Stevens Creek from a mission to an org. They succeeded on both counts. As Mission Holders, they had 7 missions on the International Birthday Game list for several years running. WTF are they doing in Buttfuck Nowhereville.

Another complaint on RipOff Report written in 2008 from a Mom in Indianopolis.
Her poor kid was only 19 years old
Stonehawk Narconon Michigan ( same as Freedom Center) Those sneaky bastards!
    some snips:
"I had learned of the unsanitary conditions and unsafe treatments going on there. When I spoke to the "nurse" and several other responsible parties, no one could tell me what doses of vitamins they were giving my son. I suspected dangerous levels and thus this lack of information and knowledge caused me to arrive in a surprise fashion to get my son out of the place.
I have filed formal complaints with the Michigan Board of Health and Mental Health Services, and any other available avenue. Additionally, my insurance company (Anthem Blue Cross) accidenatally sent my reimbursement money directly to Stonehawk. After Stonehawk would not return it to me, Anthem repaid me and informed me they would go after Stonehawk for the money.

Please please, do not send a loved one to this place. My son cited many issues regarding sanitation from the kitchen roof leaking to filthy mattresses. The food was not nutritional. I got my son's classroom book and it is replete with Scientology. I was assured my son would be taken to Christian church services but they always came up with an excuse for him not to attend. There was one ex-addict "teaching" a class of over 50! There were drugs and alcohol in the place. Communication to family was severely restricted and counselors never returned my calls.
A legitimate place would not ask for all funds, in cash, before rendering service. A legitimate place would likely be a preferred provider by major insurance companies, Stonehawk does not have this!

Do not be victimized by this place. Sadly most families/loved ones ripped off by Narconon are too beat down to fight back or led to believe the addict is a liar."

    http://www.ripoffreport.com/mental-...awk-i/narconon-stonehawk-in-stoneha-3wdey.htm

    that's where we come in!
Also... This woman wrote to the Michigan Board of Health and Mental Services.... I guess they didn't listen good enough? eh?
And this Mom was promised that they would take him to Christian church services? WAT?
Someone should call and ask if a patient would be taken to church services.

Four years later NN are still in biz.
How many people suffered and continue to suffer in the last four years?

Hawaii no likee Narconon. I believe there is one on the island, but the Narco-clammies used really bad timing in approaching the islands.

One foray was on the tail of California's review of the Narconon educational program in public schools, where a panel convened by the Secretary of Education ripped the program a new corn chute. Hawaii said, Holy shi- did you read this stuff from California? and told NN to GTFO.

The second foray was actually Second Chance, not Narconon, a month after the Albuquerque fiasco. Their reputation followed them to Hawaii, who once again said GTFO.

We just need to find the right people there, haole!

I wonder what a FOIA to Michigan Board of Health and Mental Services and the Atty. General might reveal. I know that there are dozens of complaints against Stone Hawk going back to the late 90s.

Need a Michigander to look into it.

These scans are from HCOBs. Scientology Hubbard Communication Office Bulletins. They are in the Red Volumes. Non-confidential.

Wikileaks had scans of all the HCOBs, but these should not be difficult to track down. Puddle and others leaked many Purif internal dox a while ago here on WWP.

My laptop got stolen a while ago, so all my downloaded dox are gone. Perhaps try Google Image search for Scientology Niacin HCOB, or something similar.

Michiganian is also used, but it is much less commonplace. Michigander is the term I usually see in print.

(American English suffixes used to denote a resident are often hard to predict since so many of America's place names come from Indian words and have to be bastardized with an English suffix. The -der in Michigander is probably among the least intuitive of all.)

I'll PM some people I know about that FOIA walker mentioned.

    Before Fox faking news ...

In around 2000, there was a Narconon Utah center, operating without a license. Judge sent Juvenile addicts to there for treatment. Media found out and obviously it was closed down. The link to a religion was used but the dangerous wasn't exposed very much. Perhaps it came back as the utah-detox center, with endorsement from every cop who wanted free sauna and massage.

I <3<3<3 thus thread SO much! Nothing like seeing hivemind move into gear. There is such great enthusiasm and such great insight here. Here are some of my thoughts:

    Our best opportunities are -

    1. NN Arrowhead in OK
    2. NN in CA
    3. NN in FL

I think it would be a great idea to have teams, like Team Longcat for FL and Team Tacgnol for CA, for example. Each team could start compiling information for their states. Here is some research I think we need.

    Research needed:

    1. Stories of ex-NN staffers and survivors
    2. List of Sea Org and OSA defectors from the evil cult who oversaw NN operations on behalf of the cult. These people can tell journalists in detail who the Church of Scientology totally controls Narconon
    3. Contact information for any journalist who has written anything on Narconon or Scientology
    4. Identifying what state regulatory authorities have the power to investigate and shut down NN facilities in the state.

    Ex-NN staffers and survivors

Journalists need to be able to read the stories of NN victims and talk to them. They are coming out of the woodwook in Canada and now in the USA as the results of the work Anon and the Love Machine are doing.

I fear we are losing track of the flood of defectors. It's like it is 2008 all over again except it now the NN victims coming out and telling their stories rather than the direct victims of the evil cult. Maybe we need a mini-Big List?

Sea Org and OSA defectors who controlled NN

We have evidence from David and other NN staffers of direct cult control of NN. The accounts of Sea Org and OSA staffers who controlled NN from within the cult are of great significance.

I don't know who these might be, but it would be important to identify them for journalists.

    Contact information for journalists

There is a foundational principle in fundraising: Thank your donors; thank them again; keep on thanking them.

This is as important for anons building and cultivating relationships among journalist as among donors. In a way they are our donors. They are freely contributing to the cause of Anonymous by writing the truth and exposing the fraud, abuse, and crimes of Narconon.

DeathHamster's lists posted above are a gold mine of information on journalists who have written. Now is a perfect opportunity for us to harpoon journalists in OK, for example, who wrote about NN speakers at Red Ribbon Week in schools in Lawton and Purcell, update them, thank them, and thank them again.

We have had battles over NN in CA schools in the past but not much recent reporting as is the case in OK.

As for FL, I have an observation on the Tampa Bay Times. The crack investigative reporters Tom Tobin and Joe Childs focus exclusively on the Big Stories of evil in the executive power structure and not on NN and the other front groups.

However, TBT now has a rising star in young reporter Drew Harrell, who has written model public service investigative journalism on the destruction of the hopes and dreams of black kids at the Life Force Academy charter school in Dunedin, three miles from the Ft. Harrison Hotel by cult fellow traverles using study tech, admin tech, and The Way To Crappiness.

Drew is the ideal reporter to investigate NN in FL. If you have read his articles email him, up date him, thank him, and thank him again. Journalists need to be encouraged and their editors need to know the issues are important to their readers so they keep on writing.

Identifying state regulatory authorities with the power to shut NN down

Ultimately we will shut NN down by getting the regulatory authorities to investigate and shut them down as they have in Quebec.

We need to know exactly under which regulatory authorities each facility operates and who are the key decisions makers (and their administrative assistants lol) who hold the power of shutting down NN.

I suspect the awesome Mary McConnel and others at Tipping Point have already researched and posted some of this info. We need to exploit it.

    Anonymous Oklahoma FTW!!!

In my view Oklahoma is perfect for an Anon op against NN.

    • There are now three NN deaths at Arrowhead
    • Anon has pwned NN speakers in two school systems
    • There are no orgs and cult activities are administered from the Dallas org
    • Journalists have reported on NN controversy in the state for many years
    • OK is the reddest of red states
    • OK is the buckle of the Bible Belt
    • Colin Henderson is the wrath of God
Cultists are few on the ground in OK. We need to know moar about how the Dallas org controls Scientology in OK.

OK is deeply conservative religiously and politically. Arrowhead got established through a cult strategy subverting black Baptist ministers concerned about drug addiction in the black community.

Colin and anons are educating white Baptist ministers about the Satanic nature of Scientology, the unrelenting proselyization of Christians in NN rehab, and the poisoning of young Christians by NN speakers disseminating fraudulent and deceitful information on drug addiction and anti-psychiatry hate literature.

Card-carrying conservative anons are thin on the ground at WWP, but there are a few and they are organizing a harpooning campaign. (Any lurking reptards can pm me for moar).

Colin, who it must not be forgotten is an anon, is the wrath of God. Cultists have no idea the kind of guy they are dealing with. Dauntless, defiant, resolute.

    www.gulfcoastdrugrehabdot
    I defanged ^^^ ling
    90.2% effect? wtf?
    I thought 70% was ridiculous!

also found this comment in Destin City Search
Narconon has 5 stars with 2 comments and one looks like it is by one of the owners.
A very laughable review written by "chross"
Which is probably one of the Ross's (Debby and Randy Ross )who owns the place?

"This program has saved over 100 lives. It works, 90% cure rate that is the best in the world today. I know that the facility is super nice. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and balcony. This program is very unique and 1 on 1 treatment with professional staff."

"Vitamin "bombs" risk poisoning their users. The State of Oklahoma's examiners reported in 1991 that "The use of high amounts of vitamins and minerals in the amounts described administered by Narconon can be potentially dangerous to the patients of Narconon according to the more credible medical evidence ..."
Many of the dosages set by Hubbard far exceed the recommended maximum intakes set by the United States Institute of Medicine's Food and Nutrition Board (FNB). Typically, Hubbard's dosages have not been amended for decades, despite the advance of medical and scientific knowledge; the Scientologists are required (by Hubbard's own instructions) not to alter his doctrines, even where they conflict with proven science. The Food and Nutrition Board is responsible for setting recommended dietary allowances (RDAs) and upper limits (ULs), the maximum level of daily nutrient intake that is likely to pose no risk of adverse effects. In almost every single case, Hubbard recommends dosages well above the safe limits, in some cases as much as 142 times more than the toxic level. The side effects of such huge overdoses range from liver damage, hair loss, brain swelling and nausea up to fatal heart and respiratory failure. The following table shows the levels recommended by Hubbard and the FNB, and the proven consequences of dosages beyond the FNB's upper limits."
    http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Narconon/detox.htm

so OK's examiners reported about the harm of mega doses in 1991, but still allow them to be adminsitered today? wtf?

Maybe this should have its own thread. A friend in the U.S. sent me an email asking if any Canadian Provinces had any pending bills that would allow "faith-based substance abuse programs". There was a bill introduced in Florida in January by a Florida Senator named Jack Latvala who represents the district around Clearwater. The bill died in committee in March. It appears to me as model legislation so that NarCONon can go "faith-based" because the "we're secular" scam is falling apart. This may indicate a change in strategy so NarCONon morphs itself into a "faith-based program" thus possibly acquiring some immunity from requirements for medical supervision of patients and medical validation of its methods.
    http://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2012/1744/BillText/Filed/HTML
The most interesting part of the text reads:
"providing that, to the fullest extent practicable, inmates be given the
    choice between faith-based and nonfaith-based substance abuse programs;
    providing an effective date."

“They (Narconon) told us, ‘We can fix him.’” SHIRLEY GRAVES Mother of Gabriel Graves, who died at Narconon Arrowhead in October

Two people have died in the last six months at Narconon Arrowhead, also the subject of an earlier lawsuit and an ongoing investigation into recent deaths at the facility.

Narconon Arrowhead in Canadian is a non-profit drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Hillary Holten, 21, and Gabriel report Graves, 32, were found dead at Narconon Arrowhead within the last six months, according a from Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Department.

On April 11, Holten, of Carrolton Texas, was found dead at about 4 a.m. in her room at Narconon, according to the report. She had been staying at the facility for less than two days when she was found face down on her bed.

Less than six months earlier, in October, the body of Graves, of Kingfisher, was also found in his bed at the facility, according to a police report. He had been at Narconon months.

His mother, Shirley Graves, said her son was very intelligent and loving.

“My son is beautiful and I miss him,” she said.

She said Narconon representatives told her they could help her son.

“They told us, ‘We can fix him,’” she said.

Police were called to his room at about 11 a.m. after Graves’ roommate found him in the same position in his bed at 8 a.m. as he had been at 1 that morning.

He was declared dead at 11:15 a.m., according to the report.

Graves’ case is still under investigation, according to Annette Riley of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Oklahoma City.

No charges have been filed in either case, according to Pittsburg County Sheriff Joel Kerns.

“We don’t file charges until we are notified the by medical examiner’s office,” Kerns said.

Last year, Narconon Arrowhead settled a lawsuit filed by the parents of Kaysie Dianne Werninck, 28, of St. Augustine, Fla.

The lawsuit alleged she died as a result of gross negligence after she became seriously ill with an upper respiratory infection while at Narconon Arrowhead. The lawsuit, filed in Pittsburg County District Court, alleged she also died because of the lack of sufficient training of the staff at the facility and that she was
Partly denied outside medical attention and prescription medication.

Narconon International recently closed a facility in Canada, according to CBCnews.ca.

On April 13, the Narconon facility in Quebec closed after Marc Latour, a regional health agency director in Quebec, said he had no choice but to shut down the Scientology-based rehabilitation center in Three Rivers, according to Canadian newspaper cbc.ca.

Narconon Arrowhead and Narconon Three Rivers in Quebec are among of dozens of similar centers around the world where detoxification treatment is inspired by the teachings of the Church of Scientology.

At Narconon International, no one was available for comment, according to Cheryl Crawford, secretary for Narconon International President Clark Carr.

Gary Smith, director of Narconon Arrowhead, said he could not comment on the recent deaths due to federal laws. But he did say the facility is in full operation.

“As far as Narconon Arrowhead and its operation in Oklahoma is concerned, the center is legally operating and will continue to do so far into the future,” said Smith said. “Narconon Arrowhead has met or exceeded all legal and program certification guidelines set forth by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse and the State of Oklahoma. Additionally the Narconon Arrowhead program is accredited through the internationally recognized accreditation CARF and has been consecutively since 1992.”

The families of Holten and Werninck could not be reached for comment. Contact Jeanne Leflore at jleflore@mcalesternews.com.

so who is responsible besides Narconon for these deaths?
The employees and owners of Narconon are deluded and brainwashed by the cult, and they don't and CAN'T (according to Hubbard) believe in any other proper medical care.

So the states puts these patient's safety in the hands of brainwashed culties.

    like...
WARNING! THIS MESSAGE CAN SAVE LIVES!
Do you know someone with a drug or alcohol problem?
Would you want them taking very high potential deadly doses of vitamins administered by untrained staff?
Would you want them sitting and sweating in a sauna five hours a day, every day for weeks?
Would you want your loved one FORCED to learn the teachings of a controversial religion?
Would you want your loved one's meds taken away? Or not to receive proper medical attention if needed?
And would you want to spend your life's savings (up to $30,000) on this unproven and dangerous treatment?
    No?
THEN PLEASE DO EXTENSIVE RESEARCH AND ASK MANY QUESTIONS BEFORE ADMITTING ANYONE INTO ANY TYPE OF ALTERNATIVE DRUG TREATMENT.
IT CAN SAVE YOUR LOVED ONE'S LIFE!
This has been a public service announcement brought to you by people who care.

The beauty of this is that COS can't do anything about the add unless admitting that they do this stuff.
    What would be their beef?
You never say it is Scientology.
    You know....
just like they never mention it on a stress test table or in when they go talk to school kids.
