Odd. Old news is old but article isn't. Gotta love freebie handout newspapers, I guess. However, I don't know if this is apologist so much as timid. The Clearwater Beacon is one of those freebie junk papers the USPS guy shoves in your mailbox once a week and you either only read the community events page or you throw it out. The actual articles are like playboy, only in there to fill up the space left over from tits advertisements. They really can't afford to get the cult pissy with them the same way the SPT can, nor would they care enough to do so. Hardhitting investigative journalism isn't their thing.
