But I don't see how you make the leap to thinking the "negative influences" = gay nanny sex.

Heroic stuff. Then had to go to ethics because he obviously had "pulled in" the attack and the wound. Michael Pattinson predicted that JT and KP would be sent to ethics over Jett's death. Not necessarily because of any sexuality issues. But they must have had crimes for such a horrible thing to happen!!! You aren't suggesting a media release, surely? (Protip: Daily Mail and the others ARE THE MEDIA!)

Of course, a newspaper like the Daily Mail or even the SP Times publishes articles which it hopes will increase sales but is there any evidence that the Daily Mail was interested in Scientology or John Travolta before its article on the death of Jett was pulled in January this year? If the SPT articles were significant and useful so are those published by the Daily Mail.

It's called the overt motivator sequence and it gets applied like this: eg If you are late for course then you get sent to Ethics because you must have done something really bad to "Pull in" being late. Now the reality is that the bus broke down and that you are somehow to blame for this. You can argue till you are blue in the face that the bus just broke down but it will never be accepted by an Ethics officer. It's also applied like this, If you have some auditing to fix a bad leg but the auditing doesnt work, then it's your fault and now you have to pay for a sec check to clear up your overts. Pretty soon you learn not to complain and to fall in line and pretend everything is great. This is a large part of how the mind control works. But no $cilon ever fully buys this. If you ever speak to a $cilon and you are being critical of Co$ then you can politely remind the $cilon that they must have "pulled you in"......... Interesting how $CN management doesnt apply this to themselves, Davey must have been a very naughty boy to pull in all those people making fun of him

It's not admitting to being gay; that would probably be okay with most fans these days, if not conservative (small c) Hollywood execs who are always hesitant about betting lots of money on the tolerance of the American public. And it would win them new fans too, loyal and grateful ones with $$. The problem is the LYING. If all this is true and Travolta was to come out, it wouldn't just be, "Hey, I'm gay!", it would be "Hey, I'm gay, and, by the way, my marriage was fake! And all those times we talked about how much we loved each other and what a wonderful sex life we had and how marriage was sometimes tough and we had to go to counseling...well, that was a lie too. I've been not just keeping secrets, but actively lying for 30 years to get you, the public, to spend money to see my movies. I also threatened to sue people who...well, it turns out they were telling the truth. So thanks for the planes. By the way, I'm not lying now." This pretty much applies to any celeb who's been in the closet for a long time. Especially if they've sued people under false pretenses. EDIT: Having said that, I would be deeply impressed and full of sunshine and rainbow wishes for him if he did blow and/or come out.

Are they the same people who brought us story about Tom Cruise and Travolta remake Butch Cassady and the Sundance Kid ? I totally agree with herro while hoping he is wrong. Travolta is really F'n rich, he does not have to worry about his career. He can always get work it is not like the movies he has done in the last 30 years have been blockbusters. (other than Pulp Fiction, and maybe Bolt.) Producers put John Travolta in movies that are cheap to produce but nobody will go to see them unless there is a name the public can recognize. He can write a book about his experience coming out of the closet (if he is in, HA) and use the money pay off the guy that he ruined in the Time Magazine article. (If he is "Still Alive".)

The readership is lower-middle class and middle-aged, they love stories of how immigrants are ruining the country and the Mail doesn't have a good track record of telling the whole truth on stories like that. Their other stuff is pretty Ok though.

Quite often there's some sort of mention of a "big story inside" if they're trying to sell you the paper on the strength of it. Totally absent in this case - I had to flip through page by page to see if they'd actually run it in the print edition.

In the video Jason Beghe was in talking about leaving scientology he said that when he was in a car accident, the "church" was trying to figure out "why" it happened and came up with Jason being friends with a gay person as their "answer." I guess it couldn't been just because he was friends with a wog, but I'm pretty sure Jason thought it was because the person was gay.
