I don't mind a discussion of Rinder and Rathbun. The poor saps are occasionally entertaining. It's the repetition, mere assertion pretending to be argument, and the emotional venom that I find tedious.

The Marty threads on this site lack a certain je ne sais quois that I associate with the best of anon culture. They're like the Momma's Family of Chanology.

All joking aside, it seems to me that Random guy and Grebe are the very few that ALWAYS defend Marty or attack any anti-Marty posts, very quickly to respond to such posts … ALWAYS ATTACK, NEVER DEFEND!! Just sayin’ BTW, I think they have just the forums for that

So far, and thanks to the M&M Show, the cult has avoided criminal charges, set the scene for a transition from DM to whoever (not Marty, his reputation is far too sullied, but, perhaps, Debbie but, again, doubtful), largely kept the public spot light off the tech which has resulted in all the abuses, reinforced the lie that its *all* DM, manufactured sympathy for a group of people who have covered up murder and more, aligned the media to soft-soap the public into accepting the mock-up, largely handled Anon by tricking some "opinion leaders" into believing they are on the inside of stopping the abuses, soft-soaped leading critics including WMB, Magoo, Arnie Lerma, Chuck Beatty (there goes 866 EX SEAORG) and others, created confusion and rancour . . . its an extremely clever and, to date, successful plan.

Once DM slips out the back with his pals all carrying suitcases full of cash, the new leadership turns up, the disaffected public will flock back. Especially those still slurping the Kool Aid being ladled out by Marty et al. And, yes, clams are that stupid. That's what the tech does to people.

Most important that a differentiation be made between Debbie Cook and the M&M Show, even though Marty and Rinder were (allegedly) witnesses and are now using the interim result to bolster support. Along this line of thinking, perhaps it might be about time WWP sought to reinforce the differentiation between Scientology and the Radical Taliban Cult . . . hmmm?

Look at the Exit Survey and other evidence. It seems that the percentage of those leaving that are picked up by the Freezone or the Martyologists is pretty small and they don't tend to hang on to them for that long.

Most people seem to drop the entire subject once they have some time to decompress and stop trying to think with the tech.

It is entirely possible that some of what you outline is "the plan" that some people are operating on. However, it is a stupid plan that has no possibility of succeeding.

A change of leadership buys a few years where they can blame the lack of OTs on Miscavige and get everyone to buy the original, un-fixed Basics again, but then they run into the key issue that the Internet works and Scientology doesn't.

Hmmm . . . good points. I do believe most of what's left of the membership is currently holding back and that most of those who have left but not yet turned up at the shack are waiting to see which way the wind blows and will return after the inevitable mocked-up reformation. I'm not convinced that most people who leave the cult ever really stop thinking with the tech. If there's one thing that it does do well its that it provides simple answers for simple folk. And there will always be a steady supply of those people. And, yes, it is a stupid plan. My only solace in the scenario I paint is that its protagonists are using the tech itself which, as we all know, simply doesn't work. My fear, on the other hand, is that we will never know all the crimes and the criminals will escape justice. With the money.

I kind of assume that will happen. Miscavige may end up like Hubbard -- crazy and in hiding. If this involves the death of the scam I would still pick that over Miscavige in prison and a "reformed" scam still harming people.
