OK, better. I can at least see the possible motivation here. However, if someone on the inside wanted Miscavige out (and I don't doubt some wish that), they are going about it in a very stupid manner. Each exposé hurts the cult, by the time Miscavige's rain is loosened enough for a takedown, there's not going to be much left to take over. Not likely, even clams aren't that stupid.

  6. I find it interesting how each and every article that I have read, uses this phrase - "explosive trial testimony."

    I know rite?

Same article picked up by Entertainment Law Digest - great to see this case getting attention within the legal community!

If there is a lawyer person who can help me understand the results of the courtroom drama we witnessed, please feel free to chime in. The folks over on Maty's blog are rejoicing that "Debbie is un-gagged", "Debbie can speak freely", etc. I'm not sure that's true. My understanding is that unless CoS presses their suit to a final outcome or Debbie counter-sues, the NDA issue remains unresolved. She is free only to discuss her court case and prepare her defense. The NDA is still in effect.

Interesting legal issue: Can a abusive "religious practice" be used to force some one to sign a legally binding agreement? If it's religion is it still "duress"?
  10. Squirrel King Member

It would not be enforceable in court.
  11. Random guy Member

I'm not a lawfag, but I believe part of the rejoicing is about the apparent deadlock this put the cults lawyers in. If they press forward with a trial, Cook will eventually wind up on the stand again, and so will a host of X'es (I guess our own LarryBren is one who may end end up giving a testimony), and this is something the cult really, really don't want. If they are to press on, they will have to come up with a strategy where the abusive nature of the cult and the dubious legality of their contract do not come up. I don't think this is doable, and I think both sides know that.

The cult really is checkmate in this case, it is now really a question of how many more moves before they throw in the towel. I suppose they will now go for maximum economic damage to Cook while avoid an actual trail at all cost.

They should also expect that Debbie Cook's lawyers will be better prepared to answer any David Miscavige objections.

here and there other anons have talked about the possibility of M&M being an OSA op to gather scilons that were sitting on the fence. I always thought it was a stupid theory but now I am starting to see it as a big possibility. I never trusted marty in particular, but all of this now makes me feel not warm and cozy all of the sudden
  15. Anonymous Member

deal with it, grebe. it is part of the WWP discussions. M&M as VERY part of this show and therefore have to be or will be discussed

Yeah, part of their plan was to come to marty's house with squirrel busters...and then marty can pretend to be mad?

Also, what about the PI's following them when they go out of town...all set up too?

I apologize if this has been covered already in this most excellent thread, but does anyone know why Debbie Cook sent her January 15, 2012 email to "Ben Shaw, OSA Int, RTC"?

I understand OSA Int and RTC but I thought Ben Shaw had blown? Isn't Petey Boy the big OSA Fag, I mean FLAG, these days?

I don't care what she believes but she has a lot of making up to do for the things she has DONE and NOT DONE.

She's headed in the right direction starting now.. Half-Ack as we Scientologists used to say.. ;)

maybe, just maybe, some people post anonymously, as you say, to show the merit of the post and not the name behind
  23. Anonymous Member

she wont talk, she will go quiet and take more money. cunt
  24. Anonymous Member

    LOLOLOL!!!!

I think it went more like this though:
RR: Fuck, Debbie is talking, we will lose clients if she opens a Shack. Let’s raise “legal defense” for her. If she wants it then we are united, if she doesn’t we use the mula. Win win situation!

Yeah, and in order for it to have any merit, it needs a bit of dox, or at least some correlary facts. You have provided neither.

And yes, I post anonymously every now and then as well. If I don't post anything useful, I expect to be told to go DIAFF. It seems you get a hard on posting about Marty in every conceivable and inconceivable thread. The moronic style of asserting far fetched conspiracy theories without any dox what so ever is the same from thread to thread.

I'll give you that there is a remote possibility that someone from within the cult is working on ousting Miscavige. From there to the whole M&M show and now Debbie Cook being a sekrit clam plot still needs a bit of independent evidence to be anything more than hot air. If that should really turn out to be the case, then whomever is behind it is going to take the cult down with Mircavige.

For the record the Anon ain't me.

Now I didn't care for my moronic hot air Brazil nutty theory all that much before, but since it has bored the shit out of Grebe enough to do some stand up for us, apparently caused "emotional venom", a butthurt of unDOXness over Davey's mental state and crumbled caek, I now simply adore it.

Speaking of the January 15, 2012 email from Debbie Cook, I find it absolutely amazing.

Keep in mind that is BEFORE SHE HAS BEEN SUED! In it, Debbie essentially lays bare several crimes allegedly directed by DM but also admits that she’s willing to cover up the crimes if OSA lays off the dirty tricks already in play.

So until she started coming clean by being forced into court and laying bare DM’s crimes (by DM filing the lawsuit *snicker*), I would have no respect for this woman. But she is starting to deliver - not Scientology, but Justice (hopefully).

I don’t know why exactly but I like this lady. Here’s one of my favorite parts from her email of 1/15/12:

“... because I pointed out a few policy violations. So do it. Get your shit together, collect up all the “DA” packs, cease with the “disconnection program”, leave my family alone and drop it.”

Brilliant. In that email, she’s bossing around DM’s cronies to get their act together and stop harassing her. She asserts she’s a witness to the biggest cover-up in Scientology history. (Oh I don’t know Debbie. There’s been some big ones. ;)

But I respect her because of her terseness in this email with these individuals (who have the resources to ruin her - probably still have) - all prior to the lawsuit.

    {Side-Note: I too would like to know why she addressed Ben Shaw in this e-mail}

So Miscavige wants her to shut up but what does he do? Puts her on the stand - LOL!
I find this amusing to no end I must admit.

Ironically, this will probably be the email “that ended it all” (and all the emails that are attached to that particular chain). This shows invaluable insight into the mindsets of both parties before the action was even filed. How Miscavige and crew overlooked the inevitability that this email and others would be introduced I’ll never know. I guess he hoped that she would have no money to defend herself. If what she says is true then Miscavige also conspired to cut her income. (Miscavige takes the road to evil all the way.)

Whatever the truth, I wish Ms. Cook the best in her legal wranglings. As of the moment she’s a hero in my books.

    Debbie Cook in 2012!

(as per my own legal wranglings.. I’ll have an update soon I hope.)

He was still on post until at least the end of 2006. Maybe he left after she was sent to the RPF in 2007?
If he left, he would become Someone Not to be Discussed, so she might never have got the news.
  29. anonsparrow Member

I hear ya but the email was dated 1/15/12. It's possible Debbie didn't know Shaw had allegedly blown but it doesn't seem likely. I think she probably included him because he was involved on the e-mail chain leading up to that email.

    Pure speculation.

100% of unemployed public scilons say they have a company in promotion and marketing. 99% of these companies are fronts - nothing behind the name. If the other clients are scilons, it's certainly like receiving charity without real competition.

I wonder if the cults further strategy is to involve the Cooks in a drawn out legal dance to hit them economically. I very much doubt they'll want to have an actual trail, where Miscavige could very well end up being called as a witness.

Tip a glance at what Lisa McPherson was allegedly doing for employment. She was allegedly getting paid huge amounts of money to launder precious metals in to and out of the United States as an employe of an unaffiliated company. Her wages were then dumped right back in to the Scientology crime syndicate's coffers through the purchase of worthless, massively expensive "training" and "auditing" and "services."

It's classic money laundering. It's no wonder Rinder murdered her when she talked about escaping.

Sup brother? Good to see you. I get the point you are making, and I agree that the email is an overall "good," but for me there are concerns with Debbie Cook that stem from her email to CoS (not her mass email to CoS members), a portion of which I quoted below and you also noted.

These people who know the types of things she says she knows, i.e., "biggest cover-up" in history and "actual crimes commtted at the Int. Base" have, imo, an inherent responsibility to go to the authorities. Just another perspective to be considered. I like what she's doing generally, but am conscious of her other shortcomings w/r/t really telling the truth.

Many of us are anxious to see your legal issues resolved asap. Good luck, man. Let me know if you need anything. :)

    Fucking hell. Really? Dox?

Last I heard she was or had been working for that scientology-related company that relocated to CW from Dallas, her hometown.

And let's settle the fuck down on saying Rinder murdered her, unless you have evidence of that, which should of course be given the the PINELLAS COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY.

    Jackass.

Good to "see" you to TLA. Yeah Debbie has alot of work ahead of her if she wants to come clean. This court case is major regardless of what she says from now on. Too late SciFags.

What I would like to know is what Debbie knows about Lisa McPherson. I heard through the grape-vine that she said "Lisa's death freaked her out a little bit".. I could be wrong on that but geez. Um, what part of your tech didn't work and why didn't you intervene Debbie? "

Actually as a chess fan I point out the Co$ position, rather than checkmate, is more like "zugswang": they are forced to move, but no matter what, the resulting position is less desireable than the present one. Just a fine point ....
