hi all. everyone is aware of the meddling that has occurred within iran in the past by the united states government and england....1953 coup (cia and mi6) the events leading up to the revolution and the within the revolution (formation of savak ect)

we should continue to pressure our representatives against an interventionist foreign policy....republicans and democrats. reminding them of the history. if anyone has more contact info for the british gov or any other important info, that would be great.

    U.S. Senate: Senators Home (senate)

    Congress.org - (congress)

    Contact Us (white house)
    White house (202) 456-1111

Gordon Brown - UK Prime Minister - Contact (british prime minister)

but there is something we can do to encourage diplomatic pressure...placing pressure on the united nation (uphold human rights), writing letters to iranian embassies asking why people. here is some advice on what we can do.

Ebrahim Yazdi's Arrest | The Daily Show | Comedy Central

Iranian Embassies worldwide | Embassy, consulate|

    AND

Reza Aslan | The Daily Show | Comedy Central

    UN (202) 963-1234

IF ANYONE HAS MORE TO ADD THAT WOULD BE GREAT. this is all a mixture of what we can do and what we shouldnt do. thank you all.

UPDATED NOTE FOR WE STAND IN SOLIDARITY ACTION GROUP:

    In 2008:
Side by side, Americans fought for Change and elected Barack Obama.

    In 2009:
Iranians voted for the same ideals that we voted for, they had the same desires for a more just and peaceful governance, but their voices were simply, even blatantly ignored. So far the opposition has managed to launch an awe inspiring non-violent campaign, the likes of which the world has not seen in decades. We must support the non-violent resistance of Iranians, to bring meaningful change to their lives.

CALL ON UN MEMBER STATES TO CONDEMN VIOLENCE IN IRAN
**12,000 copies of the fax have been downloaded. That's 60,000 faxes sent since Sunday.** HELP US SEND MORE...

On Saturday, we witnessed the most brutal repression of the demonstrators to date. The haunting images of a 27yr old Neda dying on camera will be remembered for ever. But Neda and many like her will not be around to account for their lives. The use of live rounds on unarmed citizens is unprecedented. But it's not bullets that are killing and maiming demonstrators in Iran. We need your help to send a message to the UN Missions of targeted countries that will be able to express our outrage and push the UN nation body not to accept the legitimacy of the repressive Ahmadinejad government, who is using brute force against the will Iranian people to force acceptance of his stolen election.

Denounce the brutal violence being used against the Iranian people for exercising their universal right to free assembly. Tell the world to allow the Iranian people define their resistance and determine their future. Don't let their movement be hijacked by outside forces, be they well meaning, self interested, or malicious.
