Domain grabs...perhaps not such a good idea Verizon Wins Suit Over Internet Addresses - WSJ.com I don't actually have an opinion either way (I have a few domains that are being sat on that I would like access to and a few I'm sitting on that I should just let go). Just thought it interesting and a subject worthy of discussion. And yes it's a chanology related topic since at one point it was encouraged for people to grab typo domains. Also the xenu domains which are being sat on could be challenged.
Re: Domain grabs...perhaps not such a good idea If my understanding of the case law is correct (and the odds of that are very very slim) then this doesn't apply to us. Something like xenu.net isn't being misleading and is a completely legit site with the domain name being a relevant descriptor. Unless the domains were used explicitly for cybersquatting, and not for informational or anonymous purposes, then their could be a problem.
