What a stupid idealist. Half of America hates everything the other half does. Always has, always will.

'Eed Wachta' - 'one hand united'. Chanted by Muslims in support of their Christian brothers and sisters as they prayed in Tahrir Square today.

    Stupid.
I don't hate only half of America.

Of course, I forgot that a few people just hate nearly all of it (like myself).

    I hate you too.

I hate you all, American or otherwise; every last monkey.

Even as an atheist, that was beautiful to watch. Everyone breached the fear barrier over the last two weeks, and I doubt that will be quickly forgotten.

my misanthropy is far greater than any of yours

I'll challenge that statement. There are about 6 people in this world that I don't hate. 2/3 of them are family members.

Not to get off topic, nor do I have any idea whether this an appropriate thread for it, but I just found this today, five days fresh.

Just got this... Omnia Adel Ezz
Hosni mubarak left to germany with his family saturday night, Not Rumours, that was Obamas advice as announced on CNN on Friday, and germany welcomed him to stay for medical reasons, and the source is ranked as highly trusted

    Can it be confirmed?
  16. Anonymous Member

My thoughts exactly. Like Anonymous, I won't forget the courage of these people, nor the brutality of the attacks on them and on those from the world's media who showed it to us.

Mubarak is counting on our memories to fade, that it will be business as usual if he sits it out. We can all do something to disabuse him of that cynical calculation.

Looks to be only rumor to me. I don't recall Obama advising "go to Germany", Germany has welcomed him to stay, but I have as of yet found no reliable sources that confirm an actual departure.
  28. Anonymous Member

Hope he doesn't get off that easy... Obama advised him of leaving soon...
  29. dispart Member

I think that is just a rumor. It was reported a few days ago here in Germany and they refered to an article in the New York Times which said that there was this option that he could go to Germany for a "prolonged medical check-up" being discussed by politicians and members of the military in Egypt, but after that there was no confirmation at all and a journalist at the Munich Security Conference said that many appeared to be relieved that it was just a rumor and that Mubarak isn't actually coming here.

He should go to the US, seeing as how the government loves him so much.

    We don't want him.

    Unless he has cancer.

For some reason, America loves old decrepit ex-dictators with teh cancer.
