Re: EPIC CHICAGO PROTEST Just noting here again so the out-of-towners know, you can't have signs with sticks or megaphones while protesting in the park. Here's an xcopy of the park rules from the wiki: Keep the walkways clear. Make sure foot traffic can flow freely. Don't block anything, and try not to crowd any paths. Park visitors should not feel like they are "running the gauntlet" to get past us. Signs must not have sticks attached to them. This is against the rules for whatever reason. (Security afraid that they could be used as weapons?) STFU! You can't bring a megaphone or otherwise be excessively loud. Don't obscure any park artwork or architechture, such as by leaning signs against them. ("Official park stuff" is defined very loosely and includes just about anything that a sign could be leaned against.) Litter is a no-no. Don't venture into the park without permission. It's very busy, and they prefer to have us in one place. Climbing on stuff isn't allowed. We had an issue with this once, srsly. In Chicago, trying to hold your sign up high equals some seriously tired arms. Again, more info on other stuff is at the Midwest Regional wiki at Chicago Says No.
Re: EPIC CHICAGO PROTEST UPDATE by request: We have confirmed our exact spot to be at the walkways into the west side of the park, adjacent to the Michigan Ave. and Washington St. intersection. Anyone who arrives early can go ahead, gather up, and settle in at our spot there. See you there! :anon: :rickroll: Edit: We NEED to have a Rick Roll singing with all these people together. Do it for the lulz, do it as a gift for our local Sci camera-guy, do it to confuse the public. But we just gotta do it! No megaphones are allowed, but maybe we can get the song not too loud some other way, or just do the thing acapella if we have to.
