I like Gurren Lagann, but I don't think it's appropriate to assign such an anthem to something so incredible. In many ways, what's going on in Iran now is something bigger than any fictitious story; there are people really fighting and dying for freedom from religious oppression and corruption. If there is to be an anthem for this event, let it be Iranian, not Japanese. The sentiment, however, is definitely noted. Parallels can be drawn, obviously, because Gurren is a very abstract story to begin with. I hope that something real will come of all this.
