Forced abortion in the cult - any insights?

Ok. If the thread title didn't let you go "eek", then I have a question.

Does anyone have any insights into the number of (forced) abortions Sea Org women were having?

(There, I've said it. Believe me I hate to ask the question. )

We all know about Laura's case, and several others women have been in the media saying they had one, or even more.

Would it help to bring this cult down if there somehow was a list of cases? Could the number of known cases actually be too small to have impact, or could it help?

I'd like to have some pros and cons. It's a serious question. Please discuss.

To be very clear that I'd hate it if this gets trolled, I am going to self report this thread. In case a mod thinks I'm going out of my way, please dome this.

The problem is always the same. First, the women who were coerced agreed to have the abortions at the time, but the form that the coercion took may not be clearly illegal, and second the statute of limitations, and third what law was broken by the scientology corporation?

  4. OP, how about using the SEARCH FUNCTION to look at the 100,000 threads on this subject.
    It is a dead horse.

  7. You get into the Right to Life issues. What was lost? The fetus is a person -right to life- or is not a person -pro choice.

I could provide you with more articles if that's what you desire.

When I use "forced abortion" as keywords to search in AvS and display results as threads, there are 200 threads where those words somehow come up, and in most cases it's not the main subject. So the subject is actually not really discussed.
Thanks, but I already mentioned Laura's case in the OP. :)

The loss which all can agree on is the choice of the pregnant Sea Ogre to give birth to the baby and remain in the Sea Org. Well... perhaps the cult would not agree that that was technically a loss, since the policy predated the conception...
  11. Try the word " coerced abortion "
    Also ESMB for same phrase

'Sea ORG forced abortions' is definitely disturbing....however, pardon if I come off aloof, or cold... But how do you force abortions? Actually, I think I answered my question.... They probably chip away any individualism they might have until they are compliant, & any contumacy has been devoured.
It doesn't make sense though....the Supreme douch 'L. Ron Hubbard' says abortions cause trauma to the fetus & mother spiritually & physically. Plus wouldn't they want little babies to mold into their douchey cult image?
You know what....why am I trying to find logic in scientology? It's like trying to calmly explain to an infant that their crying is disrupting others... With the exception that that child will grow, & evolve into an individual that thinks for themselves.
Back to the point, although repulsive... Unless the accused...(how do I say this without being crass?)... Unless they took matters in their own hands & used a wire hanger on the women with out their permission....it'd be a hard case to try. I was coerced into seeing the 'Transformer' movie, & as horrible, & traumatic that was... I can't
blame the other party for talking me into something.
That being said.... I'll end with HOW THE F**K IS SCIENTOLOGY ALLOWED TO EXIST? If they met in a secluded meadow dressed in white robes and holding kool-aid... The feds would shut that s**t down!
