As usual, apologetic fucktards are stinking up the comment section.

But luckily, as evidenced everywhere you look on the Internet, pro-Scientology views are increasingly regarded by the public with healthy skepticism and unrestrained ridicule.

Maybe clogging up comments sections with propaganda used to work for Scientology back in the day but now all it does is make the cult look as crooked as it really is.

"Travolta and Preston surely loved Jett, and are as grieved by his death as any parent would be"

grief is really low on the Tone Scale, and love ain't there at all

    Right on.

Is it just me or does he look kind of like Billy Corgan in that shoop?

Not so much that, but agnostics and others who spout that "everyone has the right to believe what they want" crap. I get that a lot when I talk to people about the cult IRL.

Many people are conditioned from an early age to venerate ANYTHING remotely connected with beliefs no matter how destructive and inhumane. There's not much we can do about that right now, but we can include a link to the Affidavit of Lawrence Brennan in our harpoons to remind people that Scientology is not a religion but is in fact a corrupt money-making machine hiding behind a cloak of religious language. And signpost them to 'The Complex'.

It would be interesting to find one of their "lists of proscribed and banned medications" and see what logic they have used to ban them. It would make an interesting study at worst and at best we can expose them for frauds using alternative uses of medicine. (remember viagra is a blood thinner rather than a virility medicine and benadryl is both a sleep aid and an anti histamine)

I am an atheist. I see their beliefs as "wrong as any other faith". What I am against is their willing ignorance. Their greed, their lack of free speech, their litigious nature, their "fair game" tactics and their "disconnections".

I class their stance on psychiatry more on their "willing ignorance" The way I see it is a rule much like eating pork or shellfish or beef. Once upon a time may have made sense, now is just dumb. Except this is a rule made in our parent's lifetimes.

You can bet that Miscaviage and his gang are trying to whip up some response to "handle" this latest flap, and ordering their remaining customers -- those they can trust -- to spam flood discussion forums with numerous fake names (and claims "I'm not a Scientologist but") is Miscaviage's first priority.

oh when the public pressure is on, DM will just ignore it all and except for the usual call to the celeb, if the celeb or VIP is too hot he abandons them instantly and pushes harder at punishing the execs and staffs through his lackeys.

The funeral will be interesting to see.

Well I'm sure, but don't be a victim of paranoia. Not every Co$ defender is a Scilon plant. Lots of people are just too high up on their PC pedestal and love playing the valiant White Knight defending everyone from "persecution".

I get a lot of that too, especially from my parents and some of my friends. Then of course these people refuse to listen to anything you say about the Church, because it doesn't matter how bad it is, these people "choose" to be treated that way right?

Then again, what choice do the kids get? The children of Scientologists don't "choose" to die for their parents beliefs, do they?

I am glad that there are some educated people out there that are makeing things like this to show people that it mite be the fact his so called loving parents didn't love him as much as they said.

This is one of the best articles I've seen so far.....I ask that everyone try to post a comment and try to view that story from different IP addresses, if possible. The writers at Gawker Media get paid extra when a particular article gets a lot of views.....let's support Owen please.
