You know what? I just had an attack of "nice" so I'm gonna go all warm-fuzzy on you. There are a lot of things that INDIVIDUAL anons feel very strongly about on a variety of topics. Some people really hate the WBC. Some people want to defend Planned Parenthood. Some people are really into all sorts of social justice, environmental stuff, you name it, you'll find INDIVIDUAL anons that would be happy to help you out with a cause. The problem is when you approach the Anons of WWP (by no means the end-all-be-all of Anonymous) without really understanding the nature of how and why Anonymous picks it's targets and ask that Anonymous "the whole" to be, as the phrase goes, "your personal army" You need to understand that while Anonymous has done a lot of good since at least Chanology in '08, it's not a general "do gooder's" organization that fights the good fight for the side of right on whatever wrong that needs righting. Anonymous picked Scientology because the Cult tried to censor a lulzy embarrassing video. Trolling Scientology in the early days was much more about having fun at 12million (sic) retards' expense than it was about creating positive changes in the world.. The fact that taking down Scientology has the benefit of ending a lot and preventing even more abuse of people is a SIDE EFFECT. Furthermore, Anonymous has never been and will never be your, my, or anyone else's friend. Rather than getting all butthurt and running off crying about what assholes we all are at WWP, you should take a step back, lurk a little more, do a little homework and see what type of stuff gets people active as individuals, what works for the hive mind and what doesn't. Then... with good ducumentation and arguments make your case in the appropriate place on the board and see what you drum up. A good example would be a thread about the "40 days for Life" thing that some Anons crashed. Some people did it with masks in some places others (like myself) didn't feel that womens' health was Anonymous' target and so didn't. There was lively, respectful discussion about the appropriateness of that action AS Anons vs. unmasked regular folks. And among the anons who discussed there was varied opinions on abortion, Planned Parenthood and the like. Anons who agree with planned parenthood went out and supported planned parenthood. WITHOUT a personal Army request that will only bring what it has brought you. There, now you cant just scream TROOOOOOOLLLLLLL at me now.
There are so many good hearted people on the Internet that really do want to change the world for the better. A few will. Most will consider it a good day if they've managed to change their shorts. Seeing how someone responds to an arrangement of pixels on their display screen which may seem objectionable is one way of determining the difference without wasting too much time over it.
