"How to get your video's audio back after being disabled by YouTube" I apologize if this has been posted before, but someone just linked me this video on YouTube which explains how to dispute a copyright claim. The copyright "claims" are basically automated by an algorithm which detects songs owned by certain music groups. Video explanation: Text explanation: 1. Go to "My Account" on YouTube. 2. Click on the link that appears only if you have videos that contain copyrighted material. 3. There will be a link in the lower part of the page that says "I want to learn more about the dispute process". Click that. 4. Go to the right and click on the link that says "I have a valid reason to dispute this claim. Take me to the dispute form." 5. You'll see three options. Click the second one, which basically says that you have copyrighted material that can be considered as fair use by law. 6. In the box underneath the option that says to write a brief explanation, copy this: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.7. There will be another box at the bottom, where you will copy the exact text it tells you to beneath the box. 8. When you are done, submit the information, and confirm it on the next page. I just tried this on one of my old videos, and will check it later to see if it worked.
