How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

You see, At the tables, they work with cue cards to help guide them along.
these cue cards in fact

The plan is simple, pass out these cards near the stress test table and watch as people, hearing the verbatim spiel, get pissed and leave.

Humans hate shit like this, because it gives the impression that its rigged (it is) without you doing much of anything.

informing them its rigged is another approach. Tell them they can make the dial jump by squeezing their toes, etc and that no matter what they do, the result will always be them getting a hard sell of an expensive scilon book.

If someone can fill in the missing words at top-right of the second one, I'll DTP-up a clone version.

I think most of the chopped section says:

/ edit, thanks for that better scan, these ^ ^ ^ should be the correct words.

This should be useful in proving that it is nothing but a sale, not a religious service.

This should be useful in proving that despite what they claim, they already know that
1. There is something wrong with you
2. They can fix it
To 1. = that it could matter less if something is actually wrong
To 2. = That they will claim to be able to fix it no matter what it is

And why just make it leaflets, make big signs with this too!

Edit: Can we force them to change their routine by exposing this, or would that be "squirreling the tech"?

Plaintext version:

STRESS TEST PATTER

”Hello! [handshake] My name is_____ , What’s your name? [tells] ”Nice to meet you!"
[put cans in hands]

"Here is how this Works. I am going to ask you a question, you don’t have to say anything and we’re going to find out what is causing you the most stress in your life. When the needle moves to the right, that shows stress.” [point to the needle so they know to watch the dial]

[Tum the meter on and get the needle on the dial]

”Think of different people and situations in your life.”

”There! [point to the needle falling] That’s stress! What did you just think of?"
[Make a big deal out of the read and say this with impact so that it impinges on them]

[Get in comm. If no real ruin, give them a good and appropriate ack and say] ”Think of something else causing you stress.”

[Get in comm. If still no real ruin, check over the following areas, one at a time, if they haven’t already come up: work, family, relationships, health.]

------

[If you have still not found a ruin, then look a them with good TRs and high intention and say,] "Let me ask you a question, what is the one thing that is really messing up your life?"

[once you have found the ruin, ask] "How long has this been going on?", How is this affecting you life?" or "How does this affect you?" to make it real

[once done, give them a very good acknowledgement and take the cans away and show them the Dianetics book] "Let me show you something. Have you ever heard of this book?” [Put the book in their hands and have them read the first two paragraphs of the inside flap of the cover. Let go while the read it. Take the book away when done.]

”What you just told me about, Where... [repeat the ruin back as exactly as possible] ...this book will show you exactly why that happens and how to fix it." [When you say, "...how to fix it,” put the book into their hands and let go.]

[Then immediately without comm lag, start to hardsell the person Make it your own.]
"GET IT1 READ IT 20 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE. YOU'LL SEE WHY. JUST READ IT.
GET THE BOOK AND READ IT. WHY SHOULD I TALK? THERE'S HOW BIG IT IS, IT 'S GOING TO BLOW YOU AWAY. BUY IT. IT’S____ DOLLARS, TAKE YOUR CHANCE. IT'S GOING TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE. IF IT DOESN’T, FINE. IS THAT WORTH ___ DOLLARS TO YOU? TAKE THE BOOK.”
[Continue to hardsell the person as long as needed until they get the book.]

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

Can't hand these out verbatim as it's copyrighted.
Need a "fair use" version: i.e. quote parts of it and add criticism.
19. Anonymous Member

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

Let me ask the lawfags this: even if the stress test patter is copyrighted will the Scilons want to have people arrested for handing out a similar piece of paper and end up with that as evidence? IANAL I really want to know.
20. Anoninator Member

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

I took those pictures in a hurry just in case something happened to the cards in between the Scilon encounter and getting them home safely.

We will get an actual scan of the card up soon. These images are merely a temp.

I plan on having a bunch of these printed out, and handing them out in front of the stress test tables and in front of the org.

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

We can use it for purposes of parody, namely "Your Stress test in summary." And have a critique of it and/or mock the hard sell.
22. Sponge Member

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

Until you know for sure what your local laws are then I would suggest not copying the cue card exactly and distributing that. Rather you should quote from it, adding your own critique and explanations on a purpose made flyer. Then they can't touch you.

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

Who're they going to sue? Some guy in a mask? I'd make sure the Anons handing these out are very generic looking Anons, GF mask, etc., but otherwise no worries. I'd do it under those conditions and I'm a complete 'n utter nancy-boy when it comes to risking fair-game....

It worth getting it up on Wikileaks or even the WWP Wiki?
26. Anonymous Member

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

There's no need to break the law, just make a fair use version and hand that out instead. Just as effective, if not more so.

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

Small problem: the clams run back to their org as soon as Anonymous appears: zero confront. Where I come from, we therefore have no chance to use this epic piece of epicness.

It's a lovely thing to have in reserve though, just in case they should one day happen to grow a pair. Thank you.

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

Excellent! I've worked in several hard pressure sale jobs in the past (but sucked @ it). This script is VERY similar to what they use in the weight loss industry (Jenny Craig, Curves) to get people to come in & sign up expensive programs. You are told to avoid quoting any costs over the phone because once you get them physically @ the center the sucker is more likely to give in to their hard pressure sales. Bait & switch!
I am not aware of any "real" religions using these kinds of sale tactics.
Yes, there may be zealots in some religions that try to recruit you but not to this extent.

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

hmm, idea, why not have a side by side. The cue cards on one, the other a book on doing a hard sell.

Re: How to preemptively shut down stress test tables

I believe that Basil and some other London anons enjoyed shouting out the script just before the scilons were about to say each line to members of the public- result= epic butthurt scilons, amused public and no sales!

Here ya go peeps. One printable "clone". I didn't know the original dimensions so I've made it A6 sized (which means 148 x 105mm, plus a couple of mm extra for bleed, but it's white-edged anyway).

The fonts aren't the exact same one(s) as they used, and the colours are likely to be somewhat off, but I think this is a pretty decent clone. Some small-print was added, as noted below.

Tasty Previews. Front:
ajnngy.jpg.png
(Added small-print reads "This is an unofficial reprint of a Dianetics / Church Of Scientology internal training document. The main text is unchanged.")

Back:
eb23c8.jpg.png
(Small-print reads "This reprint is for purposes of fair-use discussion and protest against Dianetics/Scientology. www.WhyWeProtest.net")

Here's the "best version" (PDF)

If you want more format options, you can either have a pair of 600dpi PNG bitmaps, or a full set of PDFs (embedded fonts or Text-To-Outlines, in RGB and the original CMYK).

(If anybody wants my Serif PagePlus X4 master file, just ask.)
