East Coast SP Conference 2007 Part 1 last summer's SP conference at New London, CT, Xenu dolls with their own signs "Scientology Works" and "I'm a Scientologist" in keeping with the old pro Scientology signs and T shirts used in the pro Scientology protests of the 1980s.

Can be shorter: SCIENTOLOGY IS ABOUT CLEARING YOUR BANK ACCOUNT I'd like to urge everybody to consider context - assume that few, if any, staff members are going to read your signs (unless you're in Clearwater, but even then) so make sure that they are informative and clear to the public. We had a problem with this last time in Amsterdam because we were last-minute bumped to a location away from the org. There was way more public on the new location, but because a lot of our signs were intended for the members their purpose was lost. Each sign must individually communicate that Scientology is bad.

I'm protesting as "Dr. Anon", in full doctor regalia including white coat, stethoscope and tounge depressors, with a sign styled to look like those warnings on fag packets: "Scientology Kills" on one side and "Scientology is the leading cause of stupidity" on the other.

Some of the German warning labels can easily be changed simply by replacing "smoking" with "Scientology", which gives us things like: SeaOrg is harmful to unborn children (sure to get WTF?-type reactions) or Scientology can impair judgement (original: fertility)

Re: Ideas for picket signs... You should always consider, who is your audience: pedestrians on foot, Scilons themselves, or passing drivers? Here in Orlando, the org shares an ugly one-story building with a nail salon. Real classy. - There is NO pedestrian traffic in that part of town, so we don't use signs with long slogans. - There are NO Scilons going in and out of the building TG so we don't use signs with aliens. - There ARE over 1,000 vehicles/hour driving by, in each direction, so we use big signs with short slogans; easy to read and easy to remember. Re: Ideas for picket signs... You make the signs there? Heh we kind of do ther same, except it's more constructing the frames for the signs. It does give the stragglers time to arrive on the other hand... It wasn't for an Anon protest, but I remember seeing at another one I went to what was essentially white boards with whiteboard markers. That seemed like a great way of dealing with making signs up on the spot. And then they could be reused and tailored to the theme of the raid.
