I agree. To start a totalitarian movement, or any kind of abusive relationship, it always starts with happy, huggy, warm fuzzy lovey dovey stuff to get people interested and involved. Once involved, the new cultists are told how IMPORTANT what they are doing is, and encouraged to do it some more. Then, because they know how IMPORTANT what they're doing is, they are asked why they aren't doing it more and more. Then they are regged to within an inch of their savings, children enlisted into the SO and PIs sent to look through their trash if they disagree.

I’d guess it’s too early to say what Mark and Marty will do to the Free Zone, also large established parts of the Free Zone will probably stay independent.

What we know for sure is that the Free Zone used Scientology style auditing which probably isn't good for those who do it. The improvements to victims' bank balances when they stop paying for CO$ auditing make up for this. For them the Freezone is a religion and they dislike some type of humour the way Christians would dislike it if atheists stuck a Christian cross into a dog turd.

At least one Scientology freezoner says he has been on Anonymous protests, remember we always say we don’t care what people believe, we only care about how they behave. We should certainly discuss what Mark and Marty are likely to do. If M & M become abusive we will certainly fight them. In the mean time making fun of Freezoners and their logo puts them against us and creates divisions that CO$ people can exploit.

A key point may be that the Independent Scientologits Marty recruits are entirely made up of ex-Scientologits. This means that they have already been bled dry, and won't be of so much benefit to him, financially.

Another issue is that the Independent Scientologits have already mustered up the courage and smarts to blow one abusive cult... it will be easier to do so again, if necessary.

If the Independents start scamming for raw meat public, I might consider them more of a danger to society. Right now, the freakzone in all its forms seems to be just a halfway house on the way back to sanity. Some stop off there, but most continue the journey and regain their mental health.

This is very true. I have yet to hear anyone complaining about abuses in the Indie group. The cult is terrified of that group, they don't even want their little culties being held prisioner at Flag to see who is in the group, which is why they closed the blinds and wouldn't let their people out of the building for lunch when the indies were at the nearby Starbucks.

I worry about the harm Marty may do to Scientologists who leave the CO$ though the Freezone has no history of doing harm that I know. I also worry about alienating a potential ally who can weaken Miscavige and draw victims away from the CO$. Anonymous should best keep our policies flexible and decide more when we know more.

How far was he abusive through his own nature if he was? How far was he reacting to CO$ pressure? We don't know yet.

Personally i'll be interested to see how the independents manage to create the idealised version of the scientology they all believe Hubbard intended; what they believe should be is not what you actually get when you follow Hubbard's policies. Still the Freezone seem to manage okay, I guess that's because they are not very big on the organisational structure stuff.

Same art "theme" but not same enough to say there's a definite relation, one an artistic abbreviation the other is an hour glass. The latter makes a statement about Earth and time, plus ying and yang-ish.
