This (photo below) is Toni Chambranis, master of Invest as she's done this for over 30 years. The guy with her is from LA, I think an Int staffer or someone hired by Kirsten Cataneo (OSA Int). Toni has contacts like crazy in her head, public scientologists who she relies upon to go into these groups, like Anon and get data, info on who is in Anon and bring back the data to Toni. She has an outside e-mail she uses, she goes external to an Internet site and catches up on her e-mail. She also has a friend, Deb Kaiser, who lives near the New Haven org who is a total master at getting data and does this over the phone, e-mail, she's a super snoop, not licensed but takes her allegiance seriously. "

This is Gerard Renna, DSA Boston. He's probably been ordered to go down to NY to handle the demonstration today in NY. There are only three people in the OSA EUS office and three people in the NY DSA office.

Gerard's an old hand, and I think it was observed Carmichael was demoted to Div 6 activities today, Carmichael was ineffective and stumbly in his public responses.

In my opinion, there is no one in the DSA/OSA crew who can deal with anon publicly.

Hubbard's set all of the DSA/OSA people to lose eventually, since the Hubbard rules are guaranteed to fail.

John Carmichael was demoted to Div 6!?! (Division 6 is the part of the Org for getting in and handling raw meat / new recruits)

John Carmichael was normally rather forceful and fairly well spoken when dealing with bad press. Odd that he was "stumbly in his public responses."

John has been kicking around as an unofficial spokesperson for New York area for decades. He was called to service recently to try to handle the press regarding Anonymous.

If John has been demoted to Div 6, ineffective and stumbly, its possible he may actually be waking up from the cult. I hope so, because John is actually a nice guy.

As to the sign thing though...

they followed an anonymous around in LA with a sign, we thought that tactic cheap and ugly.

Why would we want to mimic their behavior?


Don't get me wrong here, the info is great, the info is welcome and it helps us to know who people in the CoS are and I for one welcome the input and knowledge the OG has and hopes that the info continues to flow.

I am just not all that keen on this particular suggestion, if I met her I would just wave and say 'hi, how you doing today, lovely weather for a protest don't you think?'.

How much more would it enturbulate a CoS member if once identified the whole group en mass at a protest shouted very friendly-like "Hi <insert name here>, how are you doing? Have a great day." That would be more lulzy in my opinion than having a sign about someone.

I agree. Unless someone's doing something outrageous like "James Bond" at the March LA protest or "Chav-u-like" at the February Plymouth one. I reckon signs send out the wrong message. A friendly "Hi [name], how's it going?" is much more of a killer line IMO. Especially when it's said in a genuinely friendly way.

I think the big difference here is that the anons had been trying to hide their identity, and the signs had their personal information on it. A sign just saying Scilon or something just doesn't seem quite as evil.

I've known Toni for over 30 years. She used to be a school teacher in the Waterbury, CT
area and got into Scn via the Applied Scholastics program. She then set up an "Apple School" in Waterbury and ran that for a few years. I was her "senior" when I was posted
in the Boston GO as I ran all the Scn front groups in New England at that time.

Toni's maiden name was Spina. She married Peter Chrambanis and have a daughter named Marie. Toni divorced Peter as he did not join the SO and SO
can't be married to non SO people.

Toni was recruited into the GO around 1980 and was the Dir of Communications for the GO.
She was made the DSA Boston sometime in the mid to late 80's and then joined the Sea
Org and was posted as head for all of OSA Invest for the EUS.

She has an incredible memory for names, faces and dates.

I worked directly for her when she was running OSA Boston. She was once
a nice lady, but now she's brainwashed up to her eyeballs and thinks she's doing
the greatest good.

Deb Kaiser is a good friend of Toni's and does a lot of covert and overt ops for Toni in
Connecticut and where ever else they send her.

Also, I don't think that's a picture of Gerard Renna. It looks like him, but I don't
believe it's Gerard.

My thoughts also! I liked John, in fact years ago when I slipped "up the org board" to a highish position in Author Services Inc, where those upper staff get the daily news clippings around the world, I read lots of good press that John Carmichael generated in New England area, and I wrote a "commendation" on him. He does really well from a normal outsider's viewpoint.

But from the ingrained ignorant inside viewpoint, it is inevitable that the younger generation leaders who become the "new" leaders in the movement don't appreciate the wisdom and savvy of the old time staffers, and it is just a sad fact that the movement grinds up its older wiser leaders, witness Vaughn Young, going back further witness Laurel Watson, and recently Mike Rinder, ALL top PR people who simply can't play the balancing act of satisfying whoever the "bosses" are in management above them!

I thought, actually, that the old Guardian's Office era PR people did some good stuff, in fact David Gaiman was good, on the one TV show he admitted how bad the GO's behavior was.

That level of frank honesty is what is needed. Scientology has to just admit and eject all the insane policies of Hubbards, but the systemic faults are so tough to overcome, that the "new" generation come along and nail the older wiser PR people when they step over the line.

Guaranteed the Amsterdam staff who did the stress test and treated anon people in a friendly manner, they will get chastised for not following "party line" which is to "run" from the cyber terrorist anon people.

The Hubbard bureaucracies of official Scientology have layers of flaws all their own that pound and constrain the members.

Ignorance of Hubbard's rules and acting normally, is the only way out of the mess.

This is a NY Day staffmember, Mark Cosentino, owner of the Pizza business on Long Island, Goodfellows Pizza, the ones who got into the 9/11 site and got the Volunteer Ministers in for the 9/11 saga for which Sharon Runyon, Bunny Dubin and John Carmichael were awarded Freedom Medals. Of course, Sharon and Bunny had nothing whatsoever to do with the make/break on 9/11 and the Church, it was solely John Carmichael's doing, his connections with the NY Press and Sharon told me that she was asked by the IAS and Int officials to name those to whom the medal should be awarded. Bunny was married and the "rich bitch" coming to "help out for a day or so" at the NY site, no more, she returned to Philadelphia to her mansion shortly thereafter. Anyway, the guy in the pic is a staffmember of NY Org and, oh, he's a former NY City Policeman. His post is Chaplain NYD.
