I have one young girl I have been working with since she was 4 years old. She has been receiving auditing since she was a baby; she is now 11 years old. I thought you might find it interesting to interview her regarding her experience and thoughts on this:
Interview with L.P.:
You have been receiving auditing since you were very little,
DDN: What do you feel auditing has helped you with the most?
LP: It helped me accomplish many things and helps me get around all my problems.
DDN: A lot of adults don’t have much reality on what kind of problems children have. Can you give us an example?
LP: Well like getting along with your brothers and sisters when they are annoying. Or your brother’s tackling you when you are playing. Also, sometimes it is a problem when you are not able to figure out a test. And sometimes, having to handle teachers when they are upset with the other kids.
DDN: What do you like about auditing?
L.P. I like auditing because it helps me achieve my goals and to be successful.
DDN: What is the biggest win you’ve had in auditing?
L.P: I think it helped me. I realized no matter what problems I have there is a way to get around them. You just have to find it.
DDN: Is there anything about auditing that you don’t like?
L.P: No, I don’t think so?
DDN: How do you think auditing will help you in the future?
L.P: I see that it will help me be successful and to have a good life that I will enjoy. And it helps me be the best I can be, to not have problems. When you get auditing you are achieving and moving forward and not staying in one spot.
DDN: Thank you. That’s all the questions I have.
L.P. (Smiles big) That was easy.

Interesting in that the little girl's answers for the most part sound just like the kind of success stories you see in Scientology publications. Each sentence, each phrase is a "ready made", or a tile, or block. You just have to string them altogether in no particular order and you have a testimonial that sounds a lot like all the other Scilon ones. I don't remember if I ever sounded like that but I am sure I did. Kind of sad that she learned all that so early.

Poor child talks like a Scien Robot.

It's all very simple. If you are rewarded, especially at an impressionable age, for parroting such tripe you think that a) that's what you are supposed to say, b) you will get rewarded every time you perform.

Hope they gave the poor kid her liv-a-snap after.

I think this is spot on and, to me, is what makes it so insidious. But I am really struck by the vagueness of her supposed responses. She DOES sound exactly like the grown clams (thanks, Jaycee) who are quite striking in their inability to articulate what exactly they like about auditing beyond, "it helped me." And these people are worried about ECT? Sorry, folks, that ship has sailed and you didn't even use a single kilowatt.

Young Girl Recovers Her Sight!

“The most miraculous things have happened with my daughter since starting her auditing at Mace-Kingsley. She was born with a rare eye disease and began seeing eye specialists at 2 months old. We were told that she was around legally blind and would likely lose vision.
“Before starting her auditing, she was obviously visually impaired quite a bit; she would not hold eye contact or track an object with her eyes. We were seeing retina specialists, pediatric ophthalmologists, neurologists and physical therapists regularly. She started her auditing and the most amazing things began to happen. She was suddenly so in communication! She started looking at people and objects! She became more independent and more out going.
“She now no longer has to see doctors all the time. Her retina specialist said that her eyes are repairing themselves and we now only see him once every 2 months (whereas before it was every 2 weeks). She now longer attends physical therapy as she met all of her Physical Therapy goals way ahead off schedule!

This fucking kills me. When I was her age I had similar vision problems and was legally blind. My parents waited until I was three years old until they finally gave in to surgical treatment. Not because they were Scientologists, but because they were just self absorbed yuppies. Upshot is that they waited too long and I lost all of my depth perception and only regained part of my vision. Get this kid to a REAL doctor, and shove your auditing up your arse.

Janet Reitman's Inside Scientology says CoS disbanded the Cadet Org. Ex-members say it never went away. One thing is for sure: there are kids running around Flag in distinctive clothing with Sea Org members. First two clips filmed in the afternoon of Tuesday, May 22, 2012, last two clips filmed Friday morning, May 25, 2012 around 9 a.m.

Here is the breakdown of a typical week from an ex-Cadet Org member (with minor editing):

We'd wake up around 6:30 AM on Mondays through Fridays. We had exactly half an hour to clean up the room and a higher rank cadet, security guard or Atalia herself would check the rooms up before we could go to breakfast.

We had breakfast for a half an hour until 7:30 when we had to clean up. We'd get assigned places to clean. Some would get kitchen, dinning room, bathrooms, yard, pool cleaning, laundry cleaning, getting the courserooms ready, etc., then we had school from 8 AM till 11 AM. When we had break, we'd go up to the kitchen and snack something for free or otherwise had the canteen where we could buy a snack (all sugarless though, we could only have sugar from Friday night to Saturday night).

11:15 back to school until 13:00 for lunch, which was a half an hour as well, then we had clean up till 14:00, where we'd go into the cadet room (sort of like a empty carpeted enclosed place where we'd do drilling such as naval marching techniques and briefing, kind of like the training you see in army movies). At 14:30 the bus would come and pick us up to go to the base (that's what we called the area of the FH, CB, Coachman, etc...) and do office work such as stuffing envelopes, organizing pay checks, working at the place where they print the policies (it's called mimmio and it's placed right up the street from the CB like a block and a half or so), etc.

In earlier days we were only allowed to go to the base on rare occasions. That's why you read stories where cadets didn't see their parents for weeks and even months. We'd get assigned worksheets for jobs at the QI [previous location of Cadet Org; no longer owned by CoS] like painting, cleaning warehouses, cleaning dorms, trimming plants, stuff like that, all gardening and maintainance work. The going to base part started around 2003.

We'd have dinner at 5PM with our parents at the base (this is as i said, applied since 2003, otherwise we'd have dinner at 7PM at the QI). We had school at night again from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. This was different school work because at night we only did Scientology studies, courses from delphi, true school, LRH courses, etc. Also SO courses like etiquete, grooming, cleaning, etc.

We'd then have half an our to get ready for bed and lights off at ten o'clock.

On Saturdays we had a similar arrangement as the normal SO staff, we'd have a day off every 2 weeks if we had our stats up, hopefully it was the same day as our parents libs day so we could spend the day with them (it almost never happened though). The kids that didn't have the day off would stay at the QI, have assignments through out the day and on the afternoons they'd have to white-glove their rooms (meaning we had to clean from top to bottom and leave it so clean a white glove would be passed around and not get a single stain). Saturday night was movie night for the cadets that weren't grounded for their stat-down, it was also hamburger and hot dog day, sugar day and video game day, it was sort of like a day a week of being almost a normal kid...

Sundays were no different from Saturdays except for the white glove part.

Priceless Moment

Dear Mace-Kingsley,
Our 8 year old daughter enjoyed her recent auditing very much.
Lots of wins but here’s my favourite:
My daughter had been receiving daily sessions for about 1 week with you.
Normally when it’s bed time she will procrastinate and find every conceivable reason or distraction for “why it isn’t time to go to bed” or “I don’t want to wear those pyjama’s” or “I’m hungry”, “I’m thirsty “, or “I brushed my teeth this morning!”
Anyway, this night she complied rapidly with my requests. After completing her teeth she looked at me earnestly & rather bewildered and said “I can’t believe I’m doing what your telling me to do?”
I smiled but contained my amusement and continued on with brushing my teeth as though it was very normal behaviour from her. She walked out and got into bed and under the covers.
She then said, “Dad, I’m thinking of a word and it starts with L…. the next letter is O…. the next one is V…”
I said, “Is it LOVE?”
She smiled at me lovingly and threw her arms out for me to come and be hugged, and said “I love you daddy…I love my family.”
She was sound asleep within 5 minutes.
You can’t ask for much more than that as a parent. It’s these kind of priceless moments that make being a parent so special.
