I disagree, the 60's "movement" happened because of the duck and cover drills of the 50s.

By the same people who accused me for years of being a plant by virtue of my work as an OSA bully.. some of those dweebs still rant that I'm a highly trained OSA spy (and yet, I haven't recieved my Oscar).

I remember Aaron in Clearwater in the early 90s. He was Letter Registrar I/C and got promoted to the CMO after a flap involving an older SO member. And, yes, he had the reputation for being a bully and hard ass who had no issue kicking someone on the RPF at a drop of a hat.

Yes, pretty much 90% of the CMO had that reputation. I was a total bitch when I was there. I assigned probably 20+ people to the RPF during my time in the CMO and spent thousands of hours on the "business end" of an E-meter "finding people's crimes". That is how you are programmed in the CMO. I think I took my first person to the RPF when I was 12 years old and had been in the Sea Org for eh, 2-3 months?

I was in CMO when he arrived and there for another 6-7 years after he left. It only got worse.

Someday, I will have to start typing my "story" from the other end, ie. what I observed and did. Aaron is very, very much right though in that while DM is a tyrannical maniac, so are a lot of other Sea Org members who are given a position of power.

I have only one observation.

Children can be very cruel, particularly when they are trained or raised to be cruel. One of the most insidious things the COS does is to recruit children into the Sea Org and indoctrinate them at an early age.

It is one reason why despots often prefer child soldiers. Much more malleable. And once formed, often more amoral and heartless.

Your story also reminds me of behavior of teenagers during the Chinese Cultural Revolution under Mao.
