What a tit. Does he think the CEO should control the content of news shows in order to protect his friends from scrutiny?

Just to make it clear, Packer was referring to himself as being "fair game" and the term "fair game" is hardly exclusive to Scientology.

Packer obviously comes from the school of ownership of news outlets wherein the owners control the news.

Frankly, I can understand him being upset that he's been profiled a few times. But then, he's gone and done a jolly silly thing by joining a cult and that is of interest to the public. If he wants another aspect of his life to be of interest he should do something valuable for society. All we know of him is mega-rich, former scientologist, heavy investor in gambling, failed marriage, new marriage, fat and Cruise.

That's it. So, as long as Cruise and Scientology keep making news, the Packer connection will keep being reported, I'd suggest.

Packer is being a complete prick, CEO's often do but should not control the news and he shouldn't take it personally. Should be poons to that effect to the Australian.

See also Murdoch, Rupert (and his assorted spawn)

Seems to be a trait amongst Austrian media families
