In more relevant news. Less than a week till her court date. See you there Jan.
Because while they are trained as dentists, many are in over their heads trying to run a small business.
“I don’t know what you mean by ‘glory,’ ” Alice said.
Humpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. “Of course you don’t—till I tell you. I meant ‘there’s a nice knock-down argument for you!’ ”
“But ‘glory’ doesn’t mean ‘a nice knock-down argument’,” Alice objected.
“When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less.”
“The question is,” said Alice, “whether you can make words mean so many different things.”
“The question is,” said Humpty Dumpty, “which is to be master that’s all.”
Thanks to controlled and replicated large studies showing no relationship between qi and meridians and pain relief, acupuncture has been proven false.
Persistent belief in acupuncture in spite of evidence against it is delusional --ie woo.
It's hard to stay on topic when the topic is a waiting game.
A child was repeatedly molested by her stepfather from the ages of 7 to 11.
Age 7 to 11.
Jan Eastgate told her that if she told the police, she would lose her parents forever.
Jan Eastgate, International President of CCHR, a Scientology front group.
For those of you attempting to deflect, I want you to know that it doesn't work anymore.
I also want you to study the laws in your country about complicity as well as perjury.
They might have some useful techniques, but the base theory is vitalist nonsense that should have been ditched back in the 19th century, along with dangerous shit like neck adjustments.
No, I'm saying that there isn't a fixed definition.
what was Jan Eastgate arrested for again?
thats what the NWO want you to think
Fine. Lots of words are like that. Just means two people talking to each other need to clarify what they mean when they use the word.
When I used the word "science" earlier in this thread, I meant a method of inquiry in which claims are subjected to tests of corroboration, falsification, logic, and parsimony. Confidence in any claim is apportioned to the quality of supporting evidence. By that definition, "mainstream" is pretty meaningless.
Because they snooker you in by "Re aligning" your back; when in fact, they are trying to re align your Chi.
Admits all the joy gleaned from a potential prosecution, it's easy to forget the victim was a little kid of seven years old.
Tough to even type it.
Really? You were so sweet with yer teeth in
That's a pretty silly definition.
Provide a better one.
Bitch, I don't care if you want to post pix of yourself actually kissing Christman's ass to prove how much you adore her, but your comments about people who steer clear of the Magooski are better kept to yourself since they lead to shit like this.
And I dare you to get anywhere near my teeth.
That's illogical. If your logic was sound then "around here" dentists should have the same "bad rep" as chiropractors. I like dentists. I wish more people visited them more often.
Perhaps chiropractors have a bad rep because they peddle therapies claiming health benefits exceeding the scientific evidence.
Maybe. I have friends who swear by them, but they keep having to go back for "adjustments." Chiro definitely has one foot firmly planted in woo. Dentists and veterinarians, otoh, have actual science in their fields, yet still fall for the "Hubbard Business Management" scam. They should teach some course on how to avoid driving your growing practice into the control of scam artists.
^^^^ needs a shoop of Miscavige's face, but the weiner is too big
Humpty-Dumpty was pushed......
I just fall right in line, huh .........might as well submit to a security check and a follow up with an "Ethics Officer" ........
The NWO were the people who ordered the hit.
If it's an order then, pass the bong.
"Baby take your teeth out, try it one time!"
The neighbours Great Dane had amazing benefit for it's reumatic back with Accupuncture
Seems your head is full of aids instead.
KittyKat, anecdotes are weak evidence at best.
Medicine relied upon anecdotes and expert opinion almost entirely until the 20th century. Consequently, bloodletting, purgatives, and enemas seemed effective treatments going all the way back to Hippocrates. That's 2,400 of marginal progress.
Last century humans began to do medical research with controls in place for things like the natural course of the illness, regression toward the mean, confirmation bias, selective recall, and all the cognitive biases build into the human brain. Now medical progress is obvious.
Good evidence trumps poor evidence. Good studies trump anecdotes.
Acupuncture has been studied in large trials with controls such as sham needles that don't penetrate the skin and random placement of the needles. There is no benefit to specific placement of the needles. There's no benefit to using needles verses toothpicks. The entire thing is simply medical theater giving an illusion of usefulness.
The great Dane most definiately benefitted from Research. Seems that Americans are the dumbests fucks on the planet when it comes to healthcare. Their Health system is full of aids and BIASES against centuries of medical practice.
Next time I will hear you qoute Hubbard about the chinese,
DO DOGS HAVE HUMAN BRAINS ? I think not.
"Evidence" is not "my neighbor's dog benefited." And all that guy's qualifications for veterinary medicine still doesn't make acupuncture real. So I'd kind of watch the calling other people dumb fucks.
Hey, Scientology works and it helped my neighbor's pug. Prove me wrong.
Well I believe you on your word. Yay for the pug.
KittyKat, a nice curriculum vitae might prove that someone is a recognized expert. However, good evidence trumps expertise.
Good evidence appears in the published, peer reviewed scientific literature. Much of it is searchable at PubMed.
First of all its an American goverment site but what the heck
Results: 1 to 20 of 16563
And furthermore I don't think Pubmed.gov cares for European vetenarian Acupunture. Just saying Dogs don't lie avbout being in pain or having been released from pain by acupunture.
^ You guys gonna be done with this by the 16th?
I dunno, I quite like it. It passes the time, and there'll be another bunch of threads when the lardy hag gets jail time.
Not breaking out the popcorn though. Can't you guys just fuck and reappear all blearly eyed and apologetic?
Coz I'm feeling the lurve between Kitty Kat Spanker and the Anon. It's a g-love thing. Acupuncture as a metaphor for penetration maybe?
I guess Scientology must work, then, because I can name any number of stupid motherfuckers who insist it does. Then they insult anyone who points out the lack of any objective, verifiable evidence for their delusional fantasies. Sure you're not a scilon?
I wonder the same thing. If all of the ancient homeopathic remedies worked why was the average life expectancy back then 36 years of age? Maybe even less.
THIS^ should be bronzed, or used on a protest sign
Hope ya put it also in the shoop thread
