    Hey Dan,thanks for doing that.Unfortunately the Jive Aces presence in and of itself is a promotion for Scientology.As somebody has pointed out,the content of their songs,the literature on their website,are all links to Scientology.If they get paid then that fee will go to the cult and enable them to keep harrassing people which is one of the things they like to do with their cash.
    Also,be aware that Scientologists are trained to lie.They call it telling an 'acceptable truth' or a 'shore story'.They call non-Scientologists 'Wogs' (True-look it up!) and believe themselves to be superior beings so lying for their ultimate goal of 'clearing the planet' is not a problem for them.
    They may be nice guys,but they have been duped and are under some serious mind control.
    Good luck with the festival and I hope it remains Scientology free!

    In scientology terms, Dan, you and your customers are 'Stupid Wogs who just aren't trying hard enough' and 'Raw Meat'.

    Scientologists lie to non-scientologists. It's what they do. They are trained to. So you will never 'have a conversation', you'll always be 'being handled'.

    Hello

    Our fete happens tomorrow. I still haven't had anyone get in touch with me, although it sounds like one person tried but didn't get through to me. I haven't been at my desk for much of the week (in the park a fair bit, getting the fete ready) so apologies if I missed you. I did give my email address to one of the the original enquirers via a private message, but I've had no emails from any of you either.

    I'm still up for a chat if any of you are coming along to the fete. I have a beard, am 6'3" with longish hair. If you ask someone on the innocent 'say hello' stand, they should be able to track me down via my mobile.

    Rest assured, as I have commented elsewhere on this site, that the band will play their songs and that's it. No leafletting, no message dissemination. I appreciate you all being as concerned as you are - I've learned a lot from reading your thoughts - lots of stuff that I didn't know before.

    Thanks, and I hope you enjoy our fete if you're coming along

    Oh! It's Dan Germain... I have repeatedly read your username as Danger Main. This confused me a lot. D: But anyways, it looks like we've settled down, and we're happy with how you're dealing with the situation and all that. And personally, I'm glad you've learned some stuff from us; that's a big chunk of what we're here for.




    Also, seriously, you faggots, they have a right to work and earn a living even if they're Scientologists, as long as they're not openly promoting it and stuff. Yeah, the lyrics are Scilon-influenced, but... Well, they're still popular and people don't seem to mind it, so if anything, point out (not at the concert, but at your local flashraid) the connections between the lyrics and Scientology, sure. But there's no need to hardcore troll them or make them unhappy or anything.

    They're treading on top of the very fine line between being a religious band and not being one--and IMO, they're on the religious side, but if they're not going to openly try recruiting people at the concert, we can let them do so and just inform others about them at other locales (ie, not at the concert).

    They recruit on the web, we protest them on the web. They (Scilons in general) recruit at the org, we protest at the org. They set up stress test tables, we show up too. But if they're not going to overtly do anything there, we need to leave them alone and play more fairly.

    (Softcore trolling, by showing up in a V Mask to enjoy the concert (assuming you were planning to go anyways), however, is very much encouraged!)

    I've had people tell me that they do promote scientology at their gigs, one said they gave our fliers etc. and even took people's contact details. Naturally they mingle and scientology comes up.

    If any protestors, anon or otherwise do attend please don't be seen as the ones starting any arguements. Wear V masks would be fun though.

    The point perhaps missing is that until Anonymous the Jive Aces have been merrily doing 30 gigs a month talking about scientology 'if asked' and (at the very least) being a happy, jolly, low key PR event for the cult.

    Any individual who happens, by chance, to attend an event that they are playing at and who knows about the cult does not have that same freedom of speech. They cannot express their views 'if asked'. They are silenced by the risk of fair game - possibly instigated by members of the band.

    Don't defend the freedom of speech of cult members when they don't allow it from others (unless we hide on the internet or wear a mask).
