That's a pretty rash accusation. Don't quote me on this, and I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think we've had people who've died because of us, nor do I think we've brainwashed people into believing that we're right and the rest of the world is wrong.

So don't go giving out some pity party because of this.
YES his son died.
YES it's sad.
YES it shouldn't have happened, but you know what, there doesn't need to be a 5 page interview on how old John is still upset.

Yeah, he's entitled to be upset, but he doesn't have to give a monthly blog about it to New York Times, just so he can side mention how SoC is "helping out."

Don't suppose anyone has any dox that this was a staged speech he gave? Or proof that it was a press release instead of him answering a question a reporter asked about his son? Or even that he gave a speech at some post-Oscars function that focused entirely/partly on his son and/or Scientology? Some kind of proof, beyond speculation from you mouth-breathing jackasses that this actually was the conspiracy this thread is making it out to be?

Also, the day this speech was given is not documentation proving that it was a willful and organized attempt at manipulating the press in order to draw attention away from negative media coverage.

Most of the articles we're seeing about John & Kelly on the death of their son, Jett, are the result of press releases being issued by Paul Bloch & Samantha Mast, his publicists at Rogers & Cowan Public Relations, 1888 Century Park East, Suite 500, Los Angeles, CA 90067.

John, himself, has rarely spoken of Jett's death in the media lately. That's why he pays big bucks to publicists to do his speaking for him so he can concentrate on his family, movie career and Scientology.

When celebrities "issue statements" to the press, the words rarely come from the mouths of the celebs themselves... it's a script written by their publicists.

Their constant reminder to the world of Jett's death is a PR move of their own doing, I suspect, to give John a break from doing the constant stream of interviews and movie promotions an A-list star is required to endure.

The quote in the OP reads like a press release was just cut and pasted and it's not moonbatty to state a lot of media outlets just do stuff like that. You'd need to see the original source though to know for sure. What we can tell from the story is that Travolta mentioned the death at a speaking engagement and took yet another opportunity to plug Scientology.

This one 'written' by a 'reporter' instead of re-washed and re-rinsed press releases. It's getting quite sad. He'll never recover from this, no one recovers from the loss of a child, but this story has been out for so long now it seems that someone doesn't want him to even try to deal with the pain. Constant reminders in the media via press releases just prove this to me.
