...we introduce our newest cat/box combination, the scratch mat! Cats scratch furniture to mark their territory, exercise their muscles and for sheer pleasure. All similar reasons youths mix music, and if we are to cross over both those cultures we'd rather get cats mixing music than teenage boys bringing bedraggled birds back to your doorstep. The decks come flat packed and fold together into a simple structure with poseable tone arm and a top which spins as your cat paws at it – meaning you can sit and giggle in a 'LOOK THE CAT IS DOING HUMAN THINGS' way rather than watch in horror as she shreds your favourite couch into tiny pieces.

    Happy Caturday all.
Still struggling with my decision on what to do. Yesterday it was put him down, today not so much.
I do not wish this decision on anyone.

Time is a fickle advisor. It's never a matter of yes, or no, but 'when', once you recognize the question. Do nothing, until you are sure, the bad hours outweigh the good ones, and life becomes more burden than bearable. It's never easy, it's always a struggle. It's the cost of love. If it was easy, we would be monsters.

The abandoned cat I adopted last fall is like that.

For you men who are sickened by the sight of such things, life becomes easier if you just accept the fact that some cats are like some women: They just have really bad taste in men.

The Cat Circus Proves Humans Are Obsessed With Watching Cats Do Dumb Shit | VICE United States

By Grant Pardee, May 6, 2014

Throughout the show, cats wander freely between the stage and the audience. They make their way around getting pet by everyone. It’s cool because there’s ample opportunity to pet cats, but it’s also fun because it is a demonstration that cats plainly do not give a fuck about anything except what they want.

    an update on the kitteh...
good days and not so good days.
I bought a $40.00 diffuser which was suggested by the vet. It is supposed to calm them down. Supposed to mimic their mother's scent? IDK.
I knew it had to have some sort of validity behind it, because I know some of the no kill shelters are always requesting refills for these diffusers on their wish lists.
So... it took a couple of days, (they say it can take a week) but last night he wasn't as bad. And I got to sleep. YAY!!!!!
And oddly enough, my other cat is sleeping on the floor near this diffuser! Which is not her normal spot to sleep at all.
So, if you have fighting kittehs, nervous or older kittehs that howl in the night, you may want to give it a try.
But the big question is, she knows I haven't been sleeping peacefully for like a month, WHY did she suggest this now? and not a month ago?
I have heard of these diffusers before, but I just didn't think it would work.
Note to self, TRY ANYTHING even if it sounds really hoaky and costs 40.00!
