what are some basic rules of posting within the laws of libel and slander?
you can't write slander
Use the truth to slander, otherwise you're libel?
don't say anything that is libel to slander someone lol
did you see the lol in the sentence?
that = nope
why don't we all ask Miranda, she is all knowing
correction: Miranda is knowledgeable
Can omly speak for UK but slander is spoken while libel is written. A good rule of thumb is that libel is something which could lower a person's standing in the community.
She was told to come to you.
Same basic concept here, except (I believe) the emphasis is that the statement not be even a little bit true.
Same here I believe, the question I have is that why is this question asked (though it does seem to need some clarity), the greatest weapon
in this fray is truth, ergo, the truth spoken/written is not admissable as a point of contention if the person/cult wants to bawww about it.
From what I've seen over the years even baiting the clams with claims tends to shut them up because, if they contend the truth, then its more than likely even more of that horrid thing (more truth) will rear its head and bite them.
There is also mockery, 'humour', and satire to consider in this light.
But, that said, why would anyone even consider making something up to slander anyone if it didn't have some sort of malicious intent?
So, my answer to the OP, whose intent be unknown, is why? Just don't make shit up about anyone and you'll be fine.
Not sure if I got a grip on this here, but that's my take on it.
this is good
**congrats on the over 1500 exes list!
"like - don't make shit up about anyone and you'll be fine"
legalese should be written in same fashion!
